  1. The Apex does have ground balance which is a big plus. I'm waiting for there new waterproof one.
  2. With most of the iron notched out you have no iron tone then?
  3. Nice report. Look forward to your next report.
  4. In most states you can't detector there. You can get permission. The lakes by me most people don't care if I'm in the water in front of there house detecting so I don't have a problem.
  5. The Gold Racer can use Nel coils and Gold Kruzer can't. I have had 2 Gold Kruzer's and used them in the lakes jewelry hunting. It comes with a 4x7.5 coil and 5.5x10 concentric. The 4x7.5 and the 5x9.5 dd coils both worked great in the water. It is a hyper detector in the deep modes but it ran well with sensitivity turned to 80 for me. My ground is mild. I wish I still had a Gold Kruzer.
  6. Nice hunt! You have a great area to hunt. Great buckles!
  7. What about Tarsacci on tiny gold like gold earrings and gold chains. On the Equinox 800 the tiny gold is id 1. The same id as foil. I can block out foil and get the gold rings. I don't do that though because I don't want to miss the tiny gold. How small can gold jewelry be for the Tarsacci to get it? And how small will the gold jewelry be to disappear with the foil. If the Tarsacci doesn't do well on tiny gold then you're right you don't want to dig the foil. I think your 18k gold ring would id higher than foil on an Equinox. I'm not saying the Equinox is better than the Tarsacci. I would like to have a Tarsacci sometime and it would probably replace my Equinox. I enjoy your videos.
  8. No, it didn't burn so it must be just a rock lol. There are layers in it. Don't know what it is and that's ok. Thank you, Rick
  9. I was hoping it was piece of a meteorite but it isn't. I was using the Equinox 800 and this piece hit hard. It is very light. It's not magnetic. The ID is 1. Could it be a piece of coal?
  10. I really like the Nel Superfly on the Anfibio. It's so light and performs very well and would be a good one for the AT Gold. The Nel Snake would be good one too. I had it on a T2 and never took it off. I didn't try these coils on the AT Gold I had. Hopefully someone posts that has.
  11. It definitely looks different. File a spot on it and see if it sparkles. Send photos to a University that can id meteorites. Interesting find.
  12. Looks like granite to me too. Photo isn't clear enough.
  13. The Apex sounds like a good detector. I'll probably get one when it's waterproof.
  14. Good tests doing it that way. Much more accurate. Make sure you have your buckets protected If you have kids running around or coming over. They will play with the buckets and put all kinds of stuff in them and take dirt out of them. I had the same kind of bucket filled with sand in the house last winter and my nieces kids mixed ashes in it from my pellet stove and messed it all up and I couldn't use it. Plus they put sand all over the floor. If kids see a bucket of dirt they are going to play in it lol.
  15. Nice hunt. The ducks and trailer are really cool finds. I love finding stuff like that. You could try to flatten the duck out but it might break.
  16. Wow, that's in good condition. Great find! I've only found 1 - 1850 large cent with a hole in it in northern MI. And it's not nearly as good as yours.
