Social Distancing = Gold Placering For Nuggets

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,    Hope everyone's Health is well with this virus still holding on out there.  A friend and I have been doing a little bit of placering in a wash bottom for gold nuggets.  We happen to hit a crack that had like 4 gold nuggets, biggest one was 6.0 Dwt's, just over 1/4 ounce.  The other nuggets were about 1/2 to 1 Dwt each.  We were using the Minelab GPZ 7000 and GPX 5000.  The GPX 5000 is shown in the video with the Nugget Finder 14x9 EVO Elliptical Searchcoil. I shot a short video of us recovering the larger piece of gold.  Video below -

Nice color Rob. Can't wait to get out to do some detecting myself, but not feeling too good after my bleach and disinfectant cocktail, which was recommended by what I thought was a reliable source. Now I have been told that I should not have swallowed it but should have used it as a suppository. I just can't seem to win. Ooooh I really feel unwell.

Good grief Rob, that is way too hot to be comfortable. The best time of the year for prospecting here in Victoria is from March to July, but we are in lockdown this year. Current temperature hovers around 20 degrees Celsius during the day which is very pleasant, but I can only detect on my own 50 acre property until the rules are relaxed a bit. It is looking good so far for a loosening of the regulations, but we can only hope people are sensible as far as distancing etc. so that we don't suffer a relapse.

At least you have detectable gold on your place Reg, unlike me  😞

I might have a swing anyway just to stay in practice - nothing to lose and could hit on a nice coin - Sovereign would be nice!
