Popular Post Steve Herschbach
Just an observation, been several used GPZ 7000 for sale and sold for under US$5000 recently. I think we can all guess why. Some good buys though for those wanting max performance on large gold. 11 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/17164-price-for-used-gpz-7000-slips-under-5000/ Share on other sites

Popular Post Gerry in Idaho
I have 3 or 4 guys wanting to trade their GPZ-7000's for GPX-6000's, but I already have 2 used GPZ-7000's, so I won't take any more until I move at least one. I knew this was going to happen. Yes if you are young and in shape and want a smooth detector, right now is a prime time to purchase a used GPZ-7000 from someone. If you are old and wise, then the GPX-6000 will find more of the remaining gold. 8 2 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/17164-price-for-used-gpz-7000-slips-under-5000/#findComment-178578 Share on other sites
Drellim
Good info thanks for the foot work i Have seen the 6000 work well on dinks and such but by my info nothing gets deeper than the 7000 On larger pieces I guess it does not hit hard like the 6000 on gram sized and smaller and some is better than non and the 6000 hits hard on those smaller ones got a good weekend of info with over 26 nuggets found with the 6000 last weekend amongst 3 users it was impressive But does not the gold monster also see those the 6000 finds just a question 1 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/17164-price-for-used-gpz-7000-slips-under-5000/#findComment-283375 Share on other sites

Even on big deeper gold. Ive got pictures on top of pictures on top of pictures to prove it. It will also find gold as small as the monster does as well. Will it hit as deep as the 7000 or a modded 5000. No. The trade off for me is you can swing it all day every day. And Im still fairly young and strong comparatively. But swinging big heavy coils on big heavy machine's is tough really tough to stay in the field for long days. And digging big deep holes and especially deep trash will humble even the strongest of detectorist's. As alot of us know. There is no perfect machine. My goal for the future is to clean with the Manticore, then sweep with the 6000 and mop up with my modded 5000. The 7000 could be the mop as well. But day to day patch hunting Ill have my 6000 on. 6 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/17164-price-for-used-gpz-7000-slips-under-5000/#findComment-283381 Share on other sites

D4G True, It sees them a whole lot smaller though 🙂 The 6000 is about 19kHz VLF level when it comes to small gold sizes it will detect, not even close to a Gold Monster. 3 Link to comment https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/17164-price-for-used-gpz-7000-slips-under-5000/#findComment-283389 Share on other sites
