Thanks for the intersting link, Mitchel.

Reminds me of (morel) mushroom hunting: "eyes on the ground."  I didn't read all of the interviews, but I was wondering about public/private property, permissions, etc. which I didn't see addressed.  Even hunting along public highways isn't necessarily allowed.  Here in Southern Indiana people get ticketed for stopping to pick up limestone broken off by weathering forces from highway cuts.  Maybe that risk is just part of the endeavor....

Interesting that one of those interviewed (who had found a chunk) mentioned searching for non-magnetic rocks as being one of his keys.  Pretty sure most metorites are magnetic.  Hmmm.
