  1. Actually that is a industry standard for a lot of switches, they also have another size larger than that one. I have measured not only the OD of the switch, but also the nut that tightens the switch down for replacement plates. Switches on most electronics only come in 3 sizes and must be measured to get it right. That was the reason I was curious about the size of it.
  2. Thanks Steve, I really didn't know what to tell him and I figured that if you would see someone respond to his request that you would look at it. If I had the part and I could see it I would be able to tell him what it is, but I don't have it.
  3. I am sorry that I don't know the size , however some auto part stores can measure them and tell you the size. Without seeing them I have no idea. You should be able to use a tape measure to find out what size they are by placing the part on the tape and finding the size that way. Sorry I could not be much help.
  4. You can have them, but I like the ones on my neighbor better. She is also better looking than the detector.
  5. Are you kidding? That is not growing pains unless you are wanting to grow a really big fire to throw something like that onto. I have an old Bounty Hunter that would out do that any day of the week , They can keep that junk.
  6. Sorry for your loss as I know exactly how you felt. I had a little buddy that was probably the smartest dog in the world and I also lost him when he was 13. Took over 6 months to get back to life without him by my side and every night I think of him still. His name was Valen.
  7. Rusty loves to go with me every chance he gets. he's not much on metal detecting but loves a good fishing trip. I just can't keep him out of the water, but he can see the fish before they hit my lures.
  8. Sooner or later they are going to make a unit that relies on a cellphone and connect to it via Bluetooth with a small circuit board inside the shaft.
  9. Chase I am starting to believe the same as you since making the update, and I only have 2 detectors. My neighbors and some friends have told me that they wish that they would have purchased a NOX when they had the chance. I am the only person that I know of in my area that has one and I know with the help on this forum I someday will learn how to use it properly. I wish to thank all my friends on this forum for their support, input and knowledge that they have given me. With that said should someone want to learn how to properly use a NOX pay attention to the people here and learn from the best of them, the things this unit can do has surprised many people that I know and myself. You can't go wrong with a Equinox 800 period.
  10. Nice find, that is about the same depth that I had found a pendent about the same size. The ID was the same as yours, and I was using the 11 inch stock coil. One of these days I am going to go back to find the necklace that went with it.
  11. I have always like gold because when I have given it to women they liked me very much all night. Yes I have been married 4 times and want out of this one as she wants to much gold.
  12. Fred, Sorry for the misinformation as I stand corrected. I was thinking of the iron meteorites when I wrote that.
  13. Sounds good to me, I will let you know after in January. Thanks Tim (Valen)
  14. I have tried my unit (800) in some red clay near me and I had to turn the sense down to about 15 and use 5 tones. When I did this it worked rather well, I had done that about 2 months after I had purchased the unit and it blew me away. Now that I am not near that area and back to my part of the country I have not been able to get back out after doing the upgrade. Maybe I will have some time on Sunday to get out I hope.
  15. Should you decide to go and try to find a meteorite I would suggest going to your local stores and purchase a inexpensive metal detector as they will locate a meteorite just as the expensive ones will. Some times it is good to get out with the woman you love and explore things even if you don't find anything, you both will always have the memories.
  16. Nice finds, glad to see someone else than Simon finding the good stuff. Yes I know it's 2 different countries but still very nice finds. I will be glad to get back out there hunting and swinging, but it seems to be raining every time I get a chance.
  17. I am updating my passport so I can go and search out some of his spots myself. Problem is I don't know where he lives, and I think I will have to take his picture with me to find him.
  18. Sorry but Simon never jokes as he is always trying to keep people out of his fields of coins.
  19. Interesting article, but I like the pixie dust theory the best. The pixie dust theory simply suggests that one can find almost anything if they are in the right place at the right time with the right equipment and a good luck charm. I believe that you have some science on your side, but I still have a wild imagination of things, so I vote pixie dust.
  20. Like I said, if I have anything left over after the holidays I will be checking into it. Until then I can only wish. Thanks
  21. So now your calling me old. That's OK I will remember you too when you get old and decrepit. Then I get to call you old.
  22. That reminds me to get my dogs heart worm pills, I would hate to see something like that come out of him. The poor guy would die from just 1 of those!
  23. I will be checking into these after the holidays should I have enough left over. To many grand kids who happen to be teenagers.
  24. My grand kids would have taken you to the emergency room just to make sure that you don't have a concussion or something major wrong with you. Glad to hear that there are some younger people who don't need Facebook.
