Treasure Coast.... Not!(at Least For Me Lol)
2Valen replied to IdahoPeg's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
That really reminds me of a watch battery that I had found several months ago, but I am not sure what type of metal it is. Great finds and wish you luck on your next trip. -

Gold Coin Hoard Found
2Valen replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Nice video Steve, thanks for posting it I really feel bad now that I didn't find something like that. Just kidding and it was a great video seeing all that lost treasure. -
I also got a few minutes and found that I have a little hunter that helped me. This is his first time he actually helped. Once again MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

Still a nice find and I would clean it up and find a good home for it.

Return From Caribbean With Nox & A Little Gold

Great finds that you have and I am sorry that you are disappointed with your trip, but as so many of us have said I would have loved to have found only half of that. Great job and better luck in the future. -
I tried to locate that same anchor with the arrow and only found it in a tattoo gallery. I searched all the military buttons and such to no avail. The only thing that I could find was a reference of a for hire marine type unit that was located near the Louisiana and Texas line. They had trained men and also Indians on their boats. Hope that helps, but they stayed close to the Gulf area and not to far inland.

Really great finds Kac and I hope you have the same luck again. How deep was the snow that you were in, because I have about 5 inches still on the ground. Once that is gone I hope to get back out this year, I really want to make sure my update is working.

That is cruel, I hope it is not in the corner and why won't you give it a name. They are part of the family, that is why mine is mad at me. We are going to get close to 50 this week and if the snow is gone I will be out with mine most of the day. That way it might cheer it up a little, I know they can be cranky at times, but I really want to see if the new update helps her attitude. I am out of likes right now. -

Small Audio Equalizer To Adjust Iron Audio?
2Valen replied to kac's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
When hooking up something like this always set the volume at 10% of it's normal output and that should give some wiggle room for adjustments. I have done that on several sound systems that I have installed and it works great. Start low and work your way up to be able to get what you need. -

For that short of time you did a really great job at finding the good stuff. Wish I could get that good with my unit, but when it is snow on the ground and cold it is hard to get out. My 800 is getting mad at me for not going, even yesterday it tried to trip me as I was going to work. -
Aussie Silvers - Lots Of Them!
2Valen replied to Goldpick's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I know about the small country towns myself, as I live in one of those. In my back yard I have found coins from the 1800's and plenty of silver . There are several old towns that I really want to get permission to hunt at, they actually moved the town 2.5 miles down the road to be closer to the railroad. They left the old town buildings until they fell down and you can still see some of the old streets. When warm weather comes back and the snow is gone I will be out there again. -
That is not a rock! I believe you have found a bone of some type of animal. You could take it to either a vet to confirm what I am saying or even to a museum that might have dino bones. That is not a rock.
-
I honestly can't tell you how many of those I have overlooked, and now I need to go back to those spots when the weather permits.
-
Good finds without your headphones, wish you better luck next time. My 800 is mad at me right now because I won't take her out when there is 7 inches of snow on the ground.

Unusual Coin Find ( Long Post )

Great find, and yes I have seen one other of these at a coin show that went for a few hundred dollars. I know that theirs were in better shape, but yours has character. -
Keene 6” Mini Floats
2Valen replied to Bear's topic in Gold Panning, Sluicing, Dredging, Drywashing, Etc
I have used a 6inch PVC pipe that I had capped on both ends and installed a air fitting to it so I could put some pressure in it. That gave me more than enough support for everything that I needed done to it. -
I know exactly what you mean Simon, I was ready to get out this weekend and it snowed 5 inches. I wish it would warm up.
-
Great hunt for the first time with it, so keep it up and maybe next time show some pictures for us. Also some gold rings show up at the 14 ID, if your interested you may want to do some air tests with your rings and things.

Great finds Ray, keep up the great work. That nugget looks like a raisin spray painted to look like gold, just kidding.
