I have had some success with my Nox finding nuggets, still loads to learn with that machine.

I've found some gold (5 nuggets) with the 11" coil but none with the 6" and I have not tried nor do I intend to bring the 15" coil with me.

Speaking of videos:  Is this in the state park?  It must be bigger than it looks on the map.

Never been to that area but most state parks cover a vast area, hopefully a local might pipe up with some info.

Nerrina is ok but its close to Ballarat so gets hammered. Despite what he says, most are accessible using 2wd as long as you use common sense. Plus I never feel safe being too far from my car when near Ballarat. Too many idiots who love to steal stuff.

The maps don't really give a feel of how big and diverse the goldfields are.

This is just a small selection of different goldfields all easy driving from Melbourne
