  1. If it is for the NOX it will work fine on the small gold, and is a great coil. Good luck and good hunting.
  2. Good choice on level ground and I use the 10x5 Coil Tech for the creeks where I am at. This weekend it is supposed to be above 40 and I am wanting to get to a spot that I have found several nuggets. Good luck on your next hunt and just go slow and steady.
  3. Update to earlier post: This will explain more about coatings than I could convey myself, I have used their products in the past and found them very good. Remember that what some people call waterproofing is not really waterproofing with most products. Here is the link and please check out other links inside the article for more products. https://www.chemtronics.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-conformal-coating/
  4. Thanks for sharing, great read and a nice picture of it.
  5. Great find and glad that you didn't throw it away! Now in the future when you don't want to check things out just send them to my P.O. and I will let you know what their worth, for a small fee of course say a 90-10 split. I promise you will get a check for your 10 percent right away. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe.
  6. When you both hit a farm to hunt you both always kill it. Great finds as always from that hunt and I hope you more luck on your next. As always stay safe out there.
  7. Glad to hear about it being found thanks for the update! Just so glad that no Kangaroo didn't pick it up and run through a major city with it. That would have been very bad for the kangaroo. He would have been put on the no fly list and branded a terrorist for sure. Just kidding.
  8. I say it was to make sure that all the mines and other explosives are found first and then you can follow their trail and get the treasure alive. But I do think that the treasure is long gone by now and that someone is pulling a nice joke on the town.
  9. Nice finds, did I see a thimble on there. Good luck on your next outing.
  10. I use acetone to remove the old coating, or a solvent product made by MG that removes almost anything. Be careful when using it and don't smoke around it. After using the cleaner respray with standard contact MG cleaner to remove more of the solvent. Allow to dry in the open air for a few minutes or put a fan on it. I will post a link to the cleaner when I can find the product number.
  11. Nice hunt for you again, even if someone had detected it before. That shows just how far you have come with your detectors. Poor old NOX is getting very lonely now as you have went with another detector. She will probably start draining her battery from sitting to long and start some kind of falsing on targets just to get even on you the next time you take her out. Good luck on your next hunt.
  12. Always nice to find silver and that one looks very nice. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  13. Congrats on the find as I know you have been looking for them for a long time. Got some other nice finds to go with it so I would say that you had a great hunt. Now go home, sit down, and have a drink to celebrate. Good luck on your next hunt.
  14. Very nice find, that has a lot of history in it and is a great find. Thanks for sharing and now it's time to find other like it. You are on the right ground to do that and more. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe.
  15. Don't you just love those old rings of gold, sometimes they will fool you. Great save and good luck on your next hunt.
  16. Nice looking gold for the vault you have, what is your totals from this trip so far. Good luck and good hunting.
  17. Nice looking coil and hope it does you well in the field. Good luck and good hunting out there. Lets keep our fingers crossed and get some warm weather for you.
  18. Welcome to the forum and I am sure that someone will be contacting you. Should you ever post a story on your finds please show us some pictures with it as we all like to see nice things. Good luck and good hunting.
  19. The "XX" is from the second run of the coins, they sold more than they thought they would.
  20. My father thinks it is a Citizen 100 meter dive watch. He showed me grandfathers dive watch in a picture and it is close to it.
  21. Those watch pins are a classic Timex style, grandfather has several packs of them. The face I have seen somewhere before and I think it is from the 60's or 70's from what I can see in the base plate. That has a newer style waterproof design to it that was from that time period I believe. I still use some of grandfathers old book from time to time, just to look up items that I find.
  22. Another great hunt with some really nice finds, just when is the weather going to keep you out of the fields. Just kidding as I enjoy seeing all the finds you have uncovered. Good luck on your next outing.
  23. Nice find and great save for that coin. Good luck on your next hunt.
  24. Welcome to the forum and I think were glad to have you here. That picture shows me that we may have someone crazy to watch out for or it may just be me that's the crazy one. I just don't know at this time. We will be looking forward to your stories of your finds and please include some recent pictures of them because for one I really don't think that you can really take pictures from the future and bring them back with you. Time travel is a tricky thing. Good luck and good hunting.
  25. So sorry for your loss as a dog lover myself I know what it can be like when you lose a member of the family. So prayers out to you and your baby. Here is a poem that helped my grandfather when he lost his baby. The Rainbow Bridge: Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
