This also works for almost any detector such as the 800, and I have been working this same technique in creek beds. Steve I believe that you gave me the same advice because of the ringing in my ears is so bad, and I thank you for it. In the creek beds I am on the gold more now than when I first started using a detector.

Great find to save the day, all I got was yelled at on the 14th because she only got flowers and dinner. I tried to find a card for her, but nobody makes one that say's to the daughter of Satan on it. The ground here is still frozen at 3 inches deep, and the most areas that I hunt I have to go down about 6 to hit the good stuff. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe out there.

Here when I say flour gold you can put it in a sifter and watch it fall through. What you are showing is larger than that, and that is why I say nice gold.

Grandfather found a ring like that once before, and it had no markings on it. He had done a test on it and found that it was really 10k gold. Have you tested it yet, as you might be in the same boat as grandfather was. He swore that it was brass until it was tested. Good luck on your next hunt.

You know you are in bad shape when you set a plate at the table for your detector or give your favorite detector it's own chair to watch the super bowl. Your on the targets and the more you use the NOX the better you will be. Just make sure that you dig everything as gold can come up as almost any number. Good luck and good hunting.
