Half A Silver Ring Anyway
Valens Legacy replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Nice find on the ring, but the NOX would have found the whole ring. Good luck on your next hunt and just remember that the NOX has cursed you for leaving her at home. -
Great find on the bone, and for all your trouble it gave you some gold just so that it wasn't lost anymore. Good luck on your next hunt.

Welcome to the forum and happy to see you here. What type of detector are you using, and have you been finding much gold in your area. Wish you all the best and hope you post some nice reading and pictures.

Worst Hunt Of The Year Until...
Valens Legacy replied to Compass's topic in Metal Detecting For Jewelry
Fantastic find for sure, and thanks for sharing the hunt with us. Good luck on your next outing. -
That's some nice hunting with a very nice silver dime. Keep up the work and thanks for the read.

So far so nice, can't wait until turkey day to find out how much more you are going to find. Keep us posted please and let us know about the hunt with some pictures.

I would hate to see the hole you have to dig to put that in the ground and stay on target. Good luck and good hunting, let us know how it works.

Gerry, I think that most of us here fully understand what you have to jump through to adhere to the NDA's that you are tied to . With that said I'm sure there is something that you are not saying about this new detector that you could share with us. Just how good is it over some of the detectors that you have been using, especially the newer systems that have recently hit the market. Would you put it up against the 6000, 5000, the 800, or anything else out there. I just ask these questions because I am thinking of getting something else to go with the 800 which is a great detector in my opinion. Good luck and if you can think of something else to say let us know.

The gas cap looks to be from a 1970 Dodge Dart. Grandfather has that car in his garage and it runs fine. I should really fix it up and have it repainted to make it look new again. That was the car he bought grandmother for her birthday shortly after they were married. Glad you had fun so far and will enjoy reading more of your post on your trip.

Devil's Tongue Park Probe Review
Valens Legacy replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Interesting looking tokens, and you found 5 of them. They must be to a theme park in the area. The star looks interesting also, was it a pin or what. Good luck on your next hunt. -

Very nice nugget, were you on new ground or some old ground that you have done in the past? Good luck on your next hunt. -
6 Days At The Beach, Not All That Great
Valens Legacy replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Jewelry
I stand corrected on the walking part,,,,, you drove to it. 10 houses maybe 500 feet away, in a cart is still less than 5 minutes. Walk the dog and clean up after it 3 minutes. Clean up the camper, not a house, 5 minutes. Have coffee, you probably started it before taking the dog out, another 10 minutes. Taking care of "old man stuff" 30 minutes. Load water into cart 2 minutes. O.K. I concede the hour trip to the beach. Since I don't think that you have won the Lottery yet, your odds of getting hit by lightening is still very small, and might just improve your luck with the Lottery. With all that said now you tell me about the headphones, I guess you made the right choice there as I would have had to save the detector equipment myself. Some of the headphones are not cheap and money is hard to come by lately. Thank you for taking the time and clarifying some of the reasons why you quit so fast on your hunt. Good luck on your next hunt, and the NOX is getting even with you for getting another for these trips. -
Devil's Tongue Park Probe Review
Valens Legacy replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Since I have never used a probe of any kind like these I am wanting to learn how to use them correctly. I have only used a sod cutter to get to all my targets and to keep the hole as small as possible. Do you have any instructions on how to use these items and maybe you can start a new thread on this topic to help someone like me. -

I knew that and I was just kidding with you, but then again it is KAC that your dealing with. -
6 Days At The Beach, Not All That Great
Valens Legacy replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Jewelry
First off I would like to say nice hunt with some nice rings and finds. Second thing I would like to know is how does it take an hour to walk past a dozen houses to the beach. Last thing I would like to know is this, your at a beach next to a whole bunch of water and you have to leave because it rains. I go to the beach to get wet, so if it rains that is a plus. Glad you had fun and lets hope that the next hunt is better for you. Good luck and good hunting. -
Devil's Tongue Park Probe Review
Valens Legacy replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Thanks for the review as it had some useful information in the write up. My only question for you is just how much is KAC sending you for this advertisement. Just kidding glad it works good as I may be ordering one for myself. -

The kit that Steve is showing I use a lot (I have about 4 of them) and they work very good. I have found many ounces of gold with them and I have the back to prove it. Sitting in a creek bent over all day will get to you if you don't have the right bucket to sit on. I use a tall bucket to help keep me comfortable. Good luck and stay safe.

"antique Detectorist" Changing Horses
Valens Legacy replied to bocash3's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I also have the 800 with both stock coil and the 10x5 coil. I find it to be ready to go at any time and spot on with the finds. I know that I can use it in and out of the water, for gold, and just to take to the park when I get a chance. I got it from my grandfather when he passed away and can tell you that it is a great machine. Good luck and good hunting. -
Viking Hoard Rewriting Danish History
Valens Legacy replied to GotAU?'s topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
I remember reading about this a while back and like the way they put the story together in this video. They had better pictures in this video than the article did when it first came out. Thanks for sharing it. -
