  1. Nice hunt and a nice ring, just man up and take a few bites from those small vampires and get some more silver. Was that a arrowhead or something else? Good luck on your next hunt.
  2. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures of the land that your from for everyone to enjoy. I could really do a nice walk about in that area.
  3. Those are some great looking nuggets for sure, wish I had been able to find any of them. Thanks for sharing the pic's it makes me want to go out that way for some serious detecting.
  4. Welcome to the forum and glad your here! Beautiful finds for sure and glad that you saved them from the earth. The 600 is a very good unit, I have the 800, and I also recommend the 10x5 Coiltech coil. I know that it works very well for me and some others here actually talked me into getting it. I promise you that it was well worth it. I did noticed that it changed some of the ID's but once you get used to that you will like it very much. Good luck on your next outing and thanks for sharing your story.
  5. Very nice hunt with a good outcome for you. Wish you more luck on your next outing.
  6. Very nice finds and the jelly fish would have mined if you walked next to them, they would have let you pet them also. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe.
  7. Unless his arms are 10 feet long how else was he to take the picture. That is why he got a stand-in.
  8. Sounds like the 2 of you had a really nice hunting session with something to show for your hard work. Just for the people who don't know what you look like please tell me who is on the right side and who is on the left side in the picture. Good luck on your next hunt.
  9. Great looking hunt from the pictures, and some nice looking silver. Good luck on your next hunt.
  10. Welcome to the forum and there are many good people here to learn from no mater what type of detector you might have. There are many prospectors here that can help with panning, sluicing and many other types of recovery. Can't wait to see some of your finds and read the stories behind them. Good luck and good hunting. The picture you posted looks familiar for some reason.
  11. Or she may just spike your next drink with a whole bottle of Exlax, and hold a classifier over the bowl.
  12. Very nice finds, as for the last picture I have no idea of what it is but a strange necklace. I have seen people wearing them but don't understand what it is meant to be. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe.
  13. This was on Etsy and is what GB is talking about.
  14. Nice hunting and great looking coins. Good luck on your next visit to that site in the future.
  15. Nice looking rocks and you found them close to your home. Do any of them ever hold gold in them by any chance? Good luck on your next outing and stay safe.
  16. Looks nice since you got them cleaned up some more. I wish I had some areas that I could find some of those items, all I have is a jewelry store but they won't allow me to keep anything when I swing my detector over them. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe.
  17. Nice find and I hope that it can be returned if it was truly lost, you never know if the person who claims it wants to throw it away again because she is still mad at the dude. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe.
  18. Looks like a great hunt again, I bet your wife told you to get out there and find some more rings for her and that is why you dug so much. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe. He's working on his car collection as if you couldn't notice, I just wonder if your jealous that he has gotten more of them than you.
  19. I wish you a safe and productive hunt with gold flowing from your pockets when you are done. I just want to know how anyone can change their socks 4 times more than their underwear without stinking up the truck or tent. I guess you people from down under are a tough type of people to do that. My girlfriend would kill me if I didn't change my underwear everyday.
  20. Since you are taking a 4 wheeler to get where you are going, why don't you make a cart to pull for some water. Carry a blow-up pool to capture and recirculate it for a small sluice. Then use a pan to get the better gems. Just a thought, but with the right 4 wheeler you should be able to carry 100 gallons with you.
  21. What part of the country are you in? Here in central Illinois I enjoy using the 10x5 because it is close to the 11in in depth. The advantage I have with it is the fact that I can get closer to fences, and swings at the parks. There are other reasons that I have been using the 10x5 which keeps the coil on the 800 and that is creek hunting. I just can't pass up a good creek and hoping to find a spot of gold in them.
  22. I bet that messes up the vending machines. Good luck with the new coins.
  23. Congrats on the gold and glad that you had some fun out there. Maybe you and Phrunt should get out there and strike it big as he always gives it 100%. Good luck on your next outing and be safe.
  24. Welcome to the forum and glad to see you here. This is the best forum that I have seen with the best people and information on the internet. Since you have the 540 I suggest that you check out the Minelab forum for more information on your model. I remember there were some articles in another forum about your detector also, so check out the Minelab forum and ask questions and someone will be able to help you out. I own a Minelab Equinox 800 and only use the factory settings as they are very good at finding items. I believe that what you have will be close to the same with the factory settings also. We also enjoy reading about your hunts and seeing pictures of the finds as you live in a very rich area that has a lot of history in the ground. Good luck and good hunting.
