Ridge Runner
Hey Deathray Nothing like finding those seated coins. Glad to see they still out there to be found. Back about 1972 I found 5 seated dimes under one bush. This place was a old fair grounds and the last one there was in 1945 I was told. Now this was found with a White's 66 TR. Then just about everything was coming up silver. The best to you on finding more. Chuck

deathray
Cabin Fever, I was detecting a mining camp. Chuck, that would be fun! I found 3 seated dimes at a sidewalk demo in Stockton last year. I once witnessed a guy find 4 or 5 bust dimes at another Stockton demo. Yep,they are still out there, just not like the good ole days, lol. Thanks for replies everyone.

californiagold
Awesome find Ray!. That would give anybody a thrill. I find an old coin once every few years in the old diggings. I found a seated half 1856 years ago. It was just as good as finding a big nugget.I hope you find many more. Good luck

Guest Paul (Ca)
WTG Ray! Two seated is great! Good way to break in the Deus! I like the Indian weight, excellent eyeball find. Old history for sure, don't know which would be the better find, Native American history find or early West Coast gold rush find. Both up there, good job Ray!
