White's DFX Software Version 4.7 - ??

Do you think I'm kidding? Today I was in the mood to watch "Treasure Hunting America" again. While watching I came across the advertising "Meet Ken White of White's Electronics" in the specials. But this time it was a first to me that I realized the Software Version of the DFX used in the Ad.

Anyone else ever noticed that in the past?

Interesting, but no way to tell which software version is in your machine. I just checked mine.

Nope...I was wrong. Mine is version 1.0. But, as far as I know, there's no way to update anyway.

Hello Jim. That was what I did, too. Mine is also 1.0 .  If I remember correctly the Version 1.0 was the only one which was up for sale.

Maybe some glitches in later versions? Or maybe version 1 was the best all-around version, and later versions targeted some specific targets to the detriment of other uses? be nice to find out, but we probably never will.

It's not a "4.7," it's a "Y.7." This means it's pre-release beta software. The only released version was 1.0, there were no updates.
