Good eye candy but I wish these people broadcast elsewhere and not in my part of OZ, the troubles caused to the land owners by these vids and the consequences us locals pay for such are beyond belief. I do note if they settle down up here their vids are no longer broadcast, reason being they suffer those consequences I talk about. I feel no animosity towards these people just sadness that such openness cannot be displayed without serious consequences.

Gold brings out the best in mans ingenuity, the worst in his nature.

I apologize Steve for being negative here but it needs to be said, please remove if you believe I`ve gone too far.

As you say they have done nothing wrong - you are only being critical of those other people who are ruining things for the rest of us. Greed brings out the worst in people and due to that we frankly have a lot of scumbags attracted to what we do. Sad but true.

You may recognize Palmerville.... its a pay per stay location for prospectors and attracts a lot of detectorists during the Winter. Only Steve Graf is crazy enuff to go in the Summer. But yeah, I get ya....good results like that attract the dickh%#ds who ruin it for everyone else. Was the same in Vic and WA back in the early 80's and mid 90's that resulted in a lotta grief....cut fences, dead livestock, police involvement, punch-ups etc. Gold can certainly bring out the worst in humanity 😞

My father used to get mad at me for helping others learn their detectors at the same sites I used to hunt gold.  It eventually bit me in the butt as some of my permission were retracted by the land or claim owners.  I have not trained in Oregon for 3 yrs now since greedy clients going back to those sites.

You'll also notice the few videos I've done the last couple years (very few), don't show much except dirt or a chunk of gold in my mouth.

Yes, it's a fine line for folks trying to sell and promote detectors when in fact a few of the people getting involved can ruin it for many.

A book dedicated to Bruce Schuler, a family man and Detectorsorist who was murdered on Palmerville Station back in 2012, is available that writes about the court case and subsequent sentencing of two for Bruces murder. Struberville: Consequences of Isolation by Monte Dwyer | Goodreads

Im not gonna lie his videos make me want to come to Queensland. You can have WA with those damn flies even though I got a high school buddy who is a constable near Perth who swears he can get me on good gold because he spends alot of time in the bush on domestic violence calls and gold claim trespassers 🤣.  N Queensland looks right up my ally minus the brown snakes and other fun things that will kill you in minutes🤣.  I mean I hunt alot amongst grizzly bears and rattlesnakes but something about a snake that kills you in minutes is formidable.  I like his style of hunting and hes honest about the days on days of skunks.  Probably never make it though Ive got good big gold here and not alot of competition compared to other places.  On another note with gold breaking new records and economies in shambles, we are gonna see more and more people where-ever we are. Its the way gold rush's always have been.
