Steve Herschbach
I used to be active on many forums and even a bit on Facebook for awhile, but I have slowly withdrawn from locations other than this website. It is safe to say that 99% of my internet activity going forward will be devoted to this website and forum. I have not posted on my Facebook page in over a year, have no Twitter account, etc. I really just do not use social media. However, I have been approving pretty much all Facebook friend requests for some time. That means my feed is getting all manner of posts on things I have no interest in and from people I have never met. The main problem though is people try and contact me on Facebook and I am rarely there to see the messages. I decided it was time to clean it up. I posted one last gold photo as a way of alerting people that the way to find me is via this website and forum. Here is the photo - a large California specimen surrounded by northern Nevada gold. Pretty much all found with the GPZ with the exception of one large nugget in lower left found with the ATX. The specimen weighs 8.75 Troy ounces and contains about 2.5 Troy ounces of gold. RickUK
That is a stunning display of gold for sure, still never fathomed how they/you get the gold out of the rock to refine it,the nuggets are easy but its the gold in the quartz rock still baffles me,not sure if its just left for show purposes or they crush the rock or some other method. I had 'been' on both FaceAche and Twitter for a short time duration using a 'nom de plume' as they say,but security of personal information gave me no choice but delete my accounts, feel much happier about it as well.Another app that also concerned me was 'WhatsApp' as although they state its encrypted messages the concern for me was FaceAche selling or providing our details for advertising purposes, that fact alone made me delete my account within days of opening a account. strick
Nice work Steve! Hard to be in more then one place at the same time. I try and do it everyday still with my job. Keep it simple is my motto... Is that the big nugget that you found in the high sierras? The one we have been trying to get you to post a close up of for a while now? strick
