  1. Nice finds again for you, stay safe under the water and away from the sharks. Good luck on your next hunt.
  2. Good read with some nice pictures again from you, keep them coming. Good luck on your next hunt and bring home some nice coins next time.
  3. Great finds on your new machine and it looks like you are learning it nicely! Great pictures and good read, thanks for showing it to us. Good luck on your next outing.
  4. Okay Chuck, since you are going to give me the $8,000, I will pick up the 10x5 coil for my 800 and then get a used pickup to get out there to hunt the gold. I am sending you my address and expect your check soon. Thanks for making my month as it has been a heck of a month so far and I know the money will help.
  5. Welcome to the forum and don't worry about from being down under as there are many others from there on here. We look forward to some of your posts and please include some pictures, we love seeing new areas and finds. I wish you happy hunting and good luck on your next outing.
  6. What software version did they send you, as it seems that version 3 has more EMI than the previous version did. I have tried both of them and seem to have less EMI when I returned to version 2. I can hit trimes deeper on the second version than the third version. I know it hits the silver hard, and have not yet tried it on gold, may be able to get it to the creeks in the next few days due to the holiday. Good luck and give the Nox a try just to make sure it keeps working before the warranty expires on it.
  7. So does it mean your happy about it or upset that it didn't take longer just to make you think it had a serious problem? Kidding aside now get out there and make sure it works correctly with some really nice finds! Good luck and happy hunting.
  8. Nice find for sure and wish you luck on finding many more of them. Good luck on your next outing.
  9. Great finds and glad you were able to recover Them. Good luck on your next outing.
  10. Great job on learning from the best school and finding some gold. I plan to attend one of his schools when I can find the time to do it. Good luck and happy hunting! What coil were you using?
  11. I am looking at my 1 farthing and it appears to look very similar to it in size and the way the head faces to the right. Mine has a distinct rim and is from 1799, so I would say it will be of British origin. Great find and keep up the good luck on your finds.
  12. Troy, Welcome to the forum and what a great read with some nice photos of your finds. Good luck and happy hunting.
  13. Steve, have a safe trip and good finds. Relax and take in the beauty around you. Please take time to grab some pictures or video for those of us who are less fortunate to visit that great state. But most of all enjoy yourself and be happy. Good hunting and best wishes from all of us.
  14. LL nice home and I bet your wife will let you slide a little after you clean up some of the stone blocks around the garden, and touch up the brown wood to white. That way everything will match and look so much cleaner to her. Run it by her and see what she says about it, you may even get a couple of weeks off to detect.
  15. Welcome to the forum Teddy, and I am sure there are plenty of people on here that will be able to help you out. Don't expect them to tell you where the best place is, because they are probably not done with that area yet. Good luck with your new adventure in this hobby, and happy hunting.
  16. I did not know that, I guess people really do learn things on here. I'm here to learn about metal detecting and not animals, so that is why I asked the question. Happy hunting.
  17. Nice hunt and a good little bit of change for your troubles. Good luck on your next outing.
  18. Great hunting again, but I do have a question about the dog tag. At the top of it it says unsexed, while at the bottom of it it says female. Just how long has this been in the ground? I ask that because today boys think they are girls, and girls think they are boys. Are they trying to tell us that even the animals back then didn't know what they were yet? Good luck on your next hunt.
  19. More likely from one of the pirate ships from down there, just maybe blue beard's ship.
  20. Since the coils are simple to repair and one of them new, it is not a stretch to say it would be a good buy. I know someone with one of those, but it is scratched up a lot from use, and he does a good job on silver at the local parks. He did have to replace the capacitors in it not to long ago, but it just keeps working.
  21. Great hunting and sorry for your scoop getting broke, wish you better luck on your next hunt. Why would you take your truck to someone that would take your tools when they work on it. Where I am at we don 't have to worry about it, because everyone around here knows where the mechanics live and would have no problems going back for their tools. Just kidding and I wish you good luck.
  22. Interesting article, however by what I understood it would take almost a mountain of pyrite to make an ounce of gold. Maybe a small mountain, but you understand what I am saying.
  23. When I dug mine out of the ground they rang up between 16 and 18, one of them was laying flat while the other was almost straight up. The signal was almost a blip but always constant when I went over them. When I get a signal more than a few times I will dig it even if I think it may be trash. I do that just in case something else might be a little deeper and I don't want to miss out on something special.
  24. Great going Lunk and Gerry thanks for posting about it. Now if I could only get a new coil for my 800, I would be out there hunting gold.
