  1. The width of that item makes me think that it was a child's sword, because of the width of the blade. Something to think about. Great finds and the button looked to be gold plated also. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  2. When grandfather got his 800 and was learning how to use it, he was told many times to dig everything. He passed that on to me and I find it very helpful to get the good stuff, and I also get the scrap items also. There is no fool proof way to dig only one item all the time, and sometimes digging everything gets you the good stuff.
  3. With all the circuit boards that I have, which are bad, I will be looking into this because I know there is a lot of gold contacts and plating used on most of the boards I have for my equipment. Thanks for sharing this story.
  4. Nice looking coin and pure gold at that. I just have one question and that is why did they put 2 roo's on it?
  5. That was a lot of work and exercise on a person of any age. However it is some that is good for a person in many ways, health and spending money. Good luck in this new year and may God be with you to keep you safe.
  6. Very nice hunt and some nice gold for your hard work. Glad to see you get something for your effort this time around. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  7. Now we need you to list the capabilities of the alarm system, the guards, and which place in the building these displays are located. Please enclose the underground sewer systems that may run under it, and make sure we have good backup so the cops are slowed down before they reach the area.
  8. Beautiful score on the rings. Good luck on the next outing.
  9. Great hunt with some unusual items like the link. Nice job on the buttons and wish you luck on your next hunt. I think the NOX jinxed you for not taking her back out, so be kind to her and all will be forgiven. She may want you to clean her up and get rid of the dust on her face.
  10. Great hunt and glad to see the finds your getting. Which detector were you using. Nice looking bird in the tree we have a lot of them around here also. Good luck on your next hunt.
  11. So that's the lake where you work at, I would be just a little nervous around some of your co-workers with all those shell casings that you found. The other items are a great piece of history and glad that you were able to recover them. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe out there while looking over your shoulder once in a while.
  12. Great looking finds, good luck on your next hunt.
  13. All that hard work did have some nice items to be happy about. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  14. Very nice hunt and some nice finds to go with it. Wish you more luck on your next outing.
  15. Great hunt with your new machine and I really hope that you get to feeling better soon. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  16. Don't worry about what some people might say as there is once in a while a langue barrier that happens when some people are form another country and us in the US are not familiar with the wording. You are more than welcome to this forum just like everyone else is except for the scammers of course. When one person from Australia once said he wore something and some of us thought he was wearing girls clothes he explained what it was. I myself apologized for my comments and nothing else was said about it. So everything is good with what you said. Good luck out there and good hunting.
  17. Impressive and glad to be able to see real world results. Thank you!
  18. Steve I really appreciate the amount of knowledge that you share freely with newbies like myself on these forums and I have saved this information so I can learn more about this hobby. I look at it as though every time I come to this site I can learn something new even if I am not able to get out and detect right now. When I am able to get back to detecting I know that with the knowledge tha I learn from here it always makes me just a little bit better. Thank you very much. I still think that my explanation was very close to what you said. Just kidding about that.
  19. No! The police treated it like any other crime scene, and it took months for them to tell us that the bones were from someone a hundred years ago.
  20. I would have had to have almost a quart of moonshine after that. I hate snakes and believe that the only good snake is a dead one, sorry.
  21. No I'm not as I know that the gold in NZ is very small, and I knew that Simon can give a very good report on detectors that he has.
  22. Somebody is a little prickly. Ran out of likes.
  23. On my 800 with the 10x5 coil it will show a silver dime in the low 20's, and quarters in the mid 20's. I have no idea why but when I see that I know what I am digging. Glad you finally took the old girl out for a walk and she came through for you. She was just telling you she wants to go again. Good finds and wish you more luck on your next hunt.
  24. Simon, Thanks for the nice video and great information on this new unit. I knew that if anyone could do a good test on small gold it would have to be you. Good luck on your next hunt with your new machine.
