It is a special detector. It runs so smooth and quiet. There is no chatter. You will enjoy it. I hope it works for you in the water. I could see some future White's detectors based off of this engineering.

That sounds like falsing on iron. Turning sensitivity down does help. Turning up iron mask works but you loose separation. So turn down sensitivity and if you have to, turn iron mask up a little. Also try blocking -9 thru -7 or higher which might help on ground noise. I haven't tried this yet so I don't know if it helps.

Would be nice if Minelab would say there will be more coils. It doesn't make sense Minelab would leave us like this when they have such a good detector.

I would like to see an 8" round and 5.5x9 coils. And how about a 4x7.5 coil. I kind of doubt we see any more coils for it. Maybe when the new detectors come out but still have my doubts.

I also marked the 6.5x9 concentric. That's good that Garrett is asking what people want.

Yes you are right. This didn't have the word brothel on it. It was a saloon token for Saginaw, MI. I was able to id the token using the internet. I don't remember if it said it was a brothel token or could have been and you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Probably was a token for a beer lol.

If they can waterproof the Apex and it looks like they could. Add more features and I think we could have a waterproof one this summer. If the control unit is different than the Apex I don't think we would see it this year. So I hope it's a waterproof Apex with added features this summer.

The Apex seems to have a fast recovery when sweeping back and forth over a coin in the video. The audio was fast and sharp. I like it but I need the waterproof one. Nice to see a video with it out detecting a little bit. Need to see more videos of hunts with it and need to hear the Apex as it sweeps over a found target and as it sweeps thru iron. Garrett did a good job! I hope the waterproof one is light and based on the Apex with added features.

I could be wrong. Start at 5:30 in the video. It looked like he selected frequencies 15 & 20 then multi mode. I saw somewhere else before that said you could select 2 frequencies in multi mode.

You select 2 frequencies you want to use for multi frequency. Nice feature.

Auto stores have the neoprene washers and plastic bolts.

On the Gmx and 24k the 6" concentric coil is hollow or foam filled and is very light. And it does float. It would be good if White's made some coils that don't float for the Gmx.

I like it too and also hope the depth is there. I'm waiting for the waterproof one but do look forward to reports on this one. Also hope the waterproof one will be light.
