A Tip From A Miner Of Yesteryear

It just threw me off, showing the quartz and the pick tip, stuck in a outcropping. I was expecting more rough, coarse pieces. Beautiful gold no the less. And great finds. Keep it up.

Ahh yes, sorry. I should have mentioned the outcropping was merely 10' up from the bottom of the wash.

Not trying to steal your thunder AUddicted, but I just had to laugh when the very first target I dug today was the tip of an old timer's pick; it worked for me too, as it led to a few yellow targets.

I was finally able to get back to "Miners Tip Gulch" (as I am calling it) today for just a few hours, before the rain sent me packing out of there.

Figured I'd share my finds with you fellow "Forum Niners" since some of you seemed interested in the original post.

Interestingly, all of the gold from both outings was found in sand and gravel "float". But 4 or so bullets were found in bedrock.
