Reno Chris
With a bad auto accident in spring and all the fires later, 2021 was not a banner year for me to get out and search for nuggets. So I started a bit early this year with a invite from a friend to the low country in the far western edges of the Sierra Nevada. It was a great trip with excellent weather in the mid-70s. I got some good gold but my tent was attacked and stomped on by cows! I think these were attack cows, specially bred by the military for stealth counter-terrorism. 😉 Or something like that.....🤣 The tent is repairable though I needed to buy a new section of tent pole and give the tent a through washing. The photo below shows the gold, 7.4 grams, just a bit shy of a quarter ounce. The largest piece, at 3.5 grams was a partial sunbaker - partly covered but some of it was showing. It was good to get out and find some gold.
Muddydogz
Looks like you had a great day. Nugget hunting is on my list of things to do someday. As for the cows, that's what hamburger buns are for.
beatup
Well done , blame the attack on mad cow disease.
F350Platinum
Hope they didn't poop on your tent. 😵 Nice gold and F-body Ford! 250? Do be careful photographing your license plate tho. 🤔
strick
Pretty country... cows appear to be doing their job...looks like a putting green out there! You might want to consider a roof top tent for future endeavors it would fit nicely over your truck bed with a small rack and you would still have access to the bed. strick

Valens Legacy
Nice looking gold and sorry you didn't have a grill big enough for those walking steaks. Good luck on your next outing, and get your tent some hard sides.
Reno Chris
Quote Hope they didn't poop on your tent. 😵 They urinated on the tarp, but a plastic tarp is easily cleaned. They wrecked the tent while I was off detecting a few miles away. It was a great trip and I'll be back.
GotAU?
Nice finds! Cows are trouble. They could have damaged even more than the tent. We had to report a cow licking incident to a rental agency once. A whole herd of them were standing next to the work truck when a coworker returned to it; they found that the cows licked the paint down to bare metal all over it! Glad you weren’t sleeping in the tent when that happened!
rvpopeye
Tents are easier to find than that gold ! The cow just couldn't figure out how to unzip the tent ... probably just wanted to get out of the sun for a bit 😏
