Desperate for this coil now. Really need to cover more ground.  It will be great i am sure.  I Have every confidence in Minelab so I do.

Hi Steve,

A UK store has it at £219.00  (Crawfords UK)

Since photos are being published, and some comments on how it behaves, there are already prices in some distributors. Can you comment on how Steve coil works?

I don't think it is a mystery. Large coils get better ground coverage (main benefit in my opinion) and also offer a little more depth on coin size and larger targets. Sensitivity to the smallest items will be a bit less and target masking will be more of an issue, as will pinpointing. Electrical interference will increase with a larger coil. The extra weight will make the detector more nose heavy but at 15" x 12" this coil will be lighter than the CTX 17" x 13.5" coil. And apparently about $100 less than the CTX coil.

For me a coil like this is a must have for huge areas with relatively sparse targets. Mine will be used for large field detecting, general prospecting, and beach use.

Although I personally have no need for a 15" coil, Minelab is sure dragging this out.  I wonder what the big delay is, it's actually kind of odd IMO.

Minelab is determined to demonstrate the difference between it and Nokta 🙂

"Hello all..... some of you guys have been asking for 9'' and 13'' coils for the Kruzer...it is done.... we have developed these and will start shipping them at the same time with the Anfibio series."

Not so odd, probably finishing up performance testing and then they want to run production for awhile to build up inventory so they can avoid the small coil issue where dealers were only getting one or two coils per shipment.  I think it's pretty obvious by now that whether or not ML realized how popular this detector was going to be, they simply did not invest in capitalizing their production facilities in advance to be able to meet that demand for the detector or its accessories.  They let marketing get too far out in front of the designers and production folks, probably because they have never had a detector as popular as say an AT Pro and were really unprepared to deal with the worldwide demand.  Getting inventory ramped up on the small coil probably squeezed production capacity for the large coil also.
