Great looking ring again, glad your wife wanted to keep it, and you had it restored. Those are some of the nicest rings from the early 1900's, my grandmother has one very similar to it from that era. Good luck on your next outing and find yourself something nice to wear.

Another great hunt for you and it makes me jealous because I just can't get off work to get out there. I sort of thought that had to be your house from looking at all the holes in the grass, or you have a really bad case of moles going on. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe.

Welcome to the forum and as F350Platinum has said the 600 or 800 is a out of the box detector that anyone can do very well with. I was given my late grandfathers 800 detector and knew nothing about detecting and was able to find almost anything I wanted. Which ever detector you decide to get there is plenty of help here on this forum for you to find your answer to.

Why complain when you had a great hunt like that. So you didn't find any gold this time and it was a short hunt. I would love to be able to find a ring, any ring as a matter of fact. I guess I would have to get the detector out of the closet to find something I guess. I admit that I haven't been able to get out there this year more than a couple of times, but would still love to find some of those silver rings. Then you might bring plenty of check books for all your fans. Good luck on your trip and stay safe down there as we all know how some of those people are around people from the States.

Some of those parking areas have gravel and I always carry a screwdriver to help get around the rocks that cover the coins and things. Good luck and always ask the proper place for permission, county and city if you ask nicely and make sure they know that you won't make a mess of things will let you do what you want. Also if there are sidewalks there check both sides and also around the entrance booths yield coins from where they drop coins.

What I found on the EDL mark is to confirm the it passed the North American Standards for purity. I could not find out just how pure it is, so I wonder what the content is made of. Hope this helps, and the source that I got it from was a family friend who is a jeweler.

Now if you can just find the clasp for them would be really amazing. Great job on making a set and that will be a nice gift to someone.

You mean to say that your detector didn't actually find anything, the nerve of you for the tease. Why did so many people laugh at my question is all I want to know.

I just want to know what settings you used and what machine was it. Also what did it show up as for an ID.

See what happens when you drink to much coffee, you really need to slow down on it the caffeine is really getting to you. I would suggest a tranquilizer but it might send you over the edge and we wouldn't want that.

Great hunting with the different soil conditions, I would like to know which day produced more good items. Seems like I have had better luck with a moist soil. Loved the owl.
