So The Beach Hunts Start Again
rvpopeye replied to schoolofhardNox's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
The saying applies , just a different instrument. You played that tune pretty good ! Now plug the detector into that Marshall so we all can hear it π -

That sure did look nice peeking out from the dirt ! When the detector went over it , did it go honk instead of beep ? -

Your finds bag is gonna be busy too !π Ya know , If everybody showed up we could grid that off and clear it in a day or so ! π€ -
I used to live in Nashville . No room for a detector in my road kit then. Figured the audio toys were more important. Silly me !π€©

Whatever happened to that beach , you sure were there on the right day ! The usual suspects with silver and gold too ! Merrrrrrrrry Christmas ! I wish I could last that long digging holes like you do ! I'd need to time travel back at least 30 years by my estimate π€ Using a different kind of shovel yesterday , if I have to , I guess.... I didn't find anything but the frozen lawn under all that white stuff either ! -
Radio Shack Micronta Discovery2 ,,,,,it's in there !

I saw a lot of silver items like that in N . Arizona and D.Valley made by the Native American tribes and sold in roadside stands or traded for goods in the park stores. Many had hallmark /stamps and signatures but not all. The initials ? .

Nice ring . I'd love to see a cut like that ! Did you check the 40" wall too ? π

Button Bonanza 2, With Some Coins

I guess he gave you a nice wedding and a wedding gift that keeps on giving too ! I thought that trigger thing looked like part of a tractor or accessory, some sort of hand operated engagement device? Your storm is knockin' on my door tonight through Saturday. You're cool though. I have a friend in Smithfield that already told me he was sending it uptah camp for me this morning ! π -
Thought I'd drop off a few Oh My's . That was a nice looking pan ! Good to see you're still having fun with the story. It reminds me of those old serial western shows on TV when I was a kid. You should write an episode where you time travel there with that excavator ???? LOL Were those your lyrics you posted ?

One Heck Of A Relic Hunting Road Trip
rvpopeye replied to Cal_Cobra's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Good story and finds ,That dime was primo , half dime , well escaped back to the wild possible find on another trip. No doubt you'll go back,,,when it's dry. The trip was a little gnarly . But you both made it back from it all. With the goods ! Weight IS a problem with those e-bikes. I used to go back country on my old 10 speed a lot.. On the rough stuff , I'd just toss it over my shoulder and hike it to solid ground... It weighs 19# ......I still have it. Contemplating putting an electric front wheel on ? BUT that wheel/motor and a battery would more than double the weight of the bike ! With all the battery research going on these days , you'd think somebody could make one out of plastic and air ? or helium , yeah sure LOL -
Thanks Doc ! Now I have something to distract me from getting anything done today too ! π May you have more orders till you beg Santa for one of his Elves for your only gift ! And one of these for that insurance co. issue ,π
