  1. Thats a nice looking inverter...but I don't need 3 of them..... I'm on my second marriage as well. It will be my last, win loose or draw...right now it seems like a win. I hope somebody nice gets it. 50 because thats all thats left. I'll be at Lackland Air force base next week watching my son graduate from boot camp. I'll pick it up while there. strick
  2. There is a guy in the High Sierras that has found gold that I only dream about...he uses nothing... no harness and no guide arm and he's not that big a fellow either and older then I am.....I used to think I was though.. I use bot the harness and the guide arm and find detecting very relaxing using these aids. strick
  3. Heck no way I'm leaving this great forum...you guys are like family lol...at any rate I showed the CTX buyer how it works...the different settings etc...he was coming from an etrac so he should be able to pick it right up. I wore the carbon fiber shaft down almost to the glass on that machine so he will have to put some tape below the coupling so the shaft wont slide up when pressing down on it. It's all good and I hope it's as good to him as it was good to me. Looking forward to hitting all my spots with the new technology and posting my finds on this wonderful site. strick
  4. I just better not catch you in my relic spots up north strick
  5. I pulled a Steve tonight and sold my CTX....I've found so much with this machine that it's paid for itself easily..I still have a 5 gallon bucket full of coins that I need to cash in...not to mention all the gold and silver jewelry that it found for me. In the end it was an easy decision...because I have a new CTX that has barely been used At any rate I made a deal with myself a while ago that I was not going to buy any new detectors unless I got rid of a few..... (Merton are you listening).....Hopefully the 800 will be here before our Pismo trip next month. Also on the chopping block was the AT Gold I bought for Lisa several years ago. She proclaimed that she no longer wanted to use it after a short stint on the beach with the CTX...I'm thinking she will like the light weight of the Equinox and may want to use it also. The 800 is going to be good for my relic spots thats for sure.. strick
  6. The extremes are what I have as well...big scoops but you can have smaller ones custom made. Thanks for posting the pic ! strick
  7. I'll take a look at mine to see what I got...then get back. Probably not a problem in the dry... Most will just dump the scoop on the ground and give it a kick if its wet or damp no matter what size holes.. strick
  8. Yep money is no issue to some...we live in a world of instant gratification (at least here in the US) Could have probably had one by now if I wanted but my relationship with my dealer is more important. After all it's not like all my other detectors suddenly quit working strick
  9. You inspired me to subscribe...with back issues coming...Thanks from one Chuck to another. strick
  10. Amazing...were some of them in the same hold or were they scattered over a small area? Also where would the $5 gold coin ID on the e trac? I assume it would be similar to the 3030.. strick
  11. Yep I"m stuck in the bay area. The only good thing is there are lots of parks.. Pull tab and bottle cap land. strick
  12. There is a guy about an hour from me...I would not buy a CTX from him if he sold it for $1 Early on when I was looking into different detectors I called this fella. I had two detectors at the time...A Garret AT gold and a Garret ATX. Both I got from a nice dealer in the south bay. I was looking at maybe getting a 2300. So I call this guy north of me...and ask him about the 2300...he asks what I'm using at the moment...I tell him and then he asks where I bought them from? I'm thinking what do you care where I bought my detectors from? So I told him I bought them from Kellyco lol..partly because i could not remember the name of the fella in the south bay...So this guy then goes on to tell me that that I should just go and call Kellyco with any of my questions about my future detectors lol... I've bought many detectors and accessories since that day and he lost any chance of ever doing business with me. If you cant or dont want to help somebody then be nice about it...there is no reason to be a jerk to a complete stranger you dont even know. strick
  13. Theres a guy on Amazon who says his is freezing up already...I think the key to pinpointers is to have several so when one breaks you can go back to the truck for the other. Let us know how the Fisher holds up. Interested. strick
  14. Tom is a metal detecting magnet....he always finds the good stuff...still trying to get a grasp on all his gold coins...does he only use the one machine? strick
  15. Alright I'l try again...that hole is way too big..what the heck was going on there. strick
  16. Have anderson shaft for AT gold was going to do as you have done...thanks for showing it will work. strick
  17. Finally the 2300 we've all ben waiting for...My wife used the 7000 swing arm on the 2300...I got rid of the collapsable arm rest and put the one you have on yours...Much better to use that way..Nice work strick
  18. He wont let me quit...but might let me start working 4 days a week in the future.... guys a real stickler
  19. Love it...never get tired of chains...it's fun trying to pull them out of the turf without breaking them lol...I wish i would hunt water more but my boss wont let me get too far from work... strick
  20. Well Keith as Steve says thats why they call you Lunk...If anybody ever earned a big nugget it is you..You know how to use that ZED it's practically an extension of your arm..Congrats! Were all happy for you. strick
  21. Order all my detectors through the same dealer...never have to ask or beg...he treats me right...just sayin strick
  22. Reasonable prices for the quality..I just dont know how many will go the extra mile on something like that. Most of the guys I see still use canvas aprons lol strick
  23. Thanks Paul! I hear the TDI SL is weaker then the TDI pro. I have the Pro and it has proven itself to me on the beach. It's Deep. Bottle caps galore with that sucker...I can hunt wide open with my CTX then go back over it with the TDI pro and there are targets everywhere.....Run it with ground balance off for depth. Detector comparisons on youtube hunt with this machine from time to time. If the Equinox can offer some disc and be even remotely close with depth (Im dreaming here) then... strick
