  1. Eric congrats for putting up with all the people on here and please share more warm and fuzzy stories from your island. Good luck and good hunting.
  2. Thanks for the information as I had never seen silver rings like that unless they were 2 tone gold. I will have to remember that information before assuming gold.
  3. Nice looking gold, and thanks for sharing the trip with us. Now if you can just post some nice pictures of the area your in it would be nice to see.
  4. Like all companies who has share holders they became cheap to make a profit for the share holders. I see it every day on that we need for the business when things break. We can get the factory parts or have better parts made that will last. It is not cheap when you do that but it is worth it in the long run.
  5. So what you are saying is that it is worth more as a historical item than anything else. I would be contacting the local museums to see who would like to have it for a nice tax break maybe. They may even be willing to purchase it from you also. Me I would just keep it for the future to remind me of how I found it.
  6. The center ring looks like it may be 2 tone gold, and what is the ring on the left?
  7. Very nice find and it looks to be in good condition also. Keep up the hard work and learning the detector and I think it will pay off in the long run. Stay safe and good luck.
  8. A very nice set of rings that you found, so what or how many were you expecting to find. I would call it a great day with those finds. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe.
  9. Nice find as it is in great condition. Glad someone was able to help with the identification of it as I even thought it was for buffalo. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
  10. I'm not sure what he is doing after seeing the hole in the ground, I was going to ask him if he was wearing steel toe boots while swinging the detector. Hope he replies to your question and let us know what is going on with that hole.
  11. Is it magnetic, or does it attract a magnet? Looks like it has a lot of iron in it.
  12. I have used my grandfather's detectors for a while the Equinox and the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV. They both have their own distinct sounds, but I can't understand why I like the BH more. I know it sounds crazy, but the old school sound just gets me every time I hit a target. I will say that when I go detecting I like to use the 800 more so I can actually find something of value. I may get a chance to go this month to do a little detecting and I just can't wait to get back out there.
  13. Nice hunt sorry you couldn't pull out a ring or two, but all in all I hope you had fun. Good luck on your next hunt.
  14. Very nicely done! Great looking gold and I am sure that it was hard work to get it out of the ground. Good luck and stay safe.
  15. Good read, what type of detector was he using. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I would be checking out the ant hill, or is it the ant bank. Glad you got it back. Good luck on your next outing and stay safe and keep some ant spray in the car.
  17. Stay safe out there as the heat does tend to bring out the crazy people and make them even more crazy. Good luck and stay cool.
  18. That is a nice ring you found and you might be able to find the owner without to much problems. You would have to find the guy who likes to dress up as a woman in your area and have him identify it. Looks like you had a very good hunt and it paid off nicely for you. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe.
  19. Charles, welcome to the forum and I think we all can say that we are sorry that you are from N.Y. Just kidding about where you are from. What type of detector do you have, and have you been out to any good spots yet. If you have found some nice items remember we all like hearing about the hunt and seeing the photos of the finds. Good luck and good hunting.
  20. Very nice hunting and some great finds as well. Were those diamonds on the ladies ring? Good luck on your next outing.
  21. Once again you have had a very nice hunt with gold and silver. Good luck on your next hunt.
  22. Very nice find any way, and nice hunting. Better luck on your next outing and stay safe.
  23. From the looks of it your not going to deep, I think it's good to stay close to the top of the ground. That way you only find some things that are only a century old or less. Good luck on your next hunt.
  24. Nice hunt, congrats on your finds. Which detector were you using? Good luck on your next outing.
  25. Great hunt with some very nice finds for your trouble. Just how hard is it to locate the rightful owner of the rings, and what do you do with them if nobody claims them. Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.
