  1. Since you don't have a pole, who actually caught it, and how long did it take to get it off the line.
  2. After seeing this new picture of your item I would have to say for sure that it is amethyst. You have the typical color change which is common with such samples, and the darker more pronounced purple is the higher quality of the stone. Congratulations on your find.
  3. Maybe it was from an out of state bank, just saying. They do use tags like that at a local coal mine, something to think about.
  4. Blasphemy now take out your manual and read it again in the corner. When I get a chance to hunt I just can't get enough of it no matter if all I get is junk. Good luck on you next outing.
  5. Very nice find and glad that you were the one to get it since it wasn't me. Good luck on your next outing.
  6. Welcome to the forum and hope to see some of your finds and the stories behind them. Good luck and happy hunting.
  7. Another great hunt for you. Keep up the nice hunts and save some of the history that is buried.
  8. Beautiful half dime and some interesting relics, I hope you find some more silver near that location. Good luck on your next hunt.
  9. Brett, welcome to the forum and I am sure that someone will take you up on your offer. Please share some of your adventures with us when you get a chance to do so.
  10. Simon, Thanks for the video and your assessment between the 2 coils. I have only had time to use the 10 x 5 on an old soccer field for a few minutes before it turned cold. Now that the weather is starting to change again I am planning a few hunts in neighboring creeks where I will have my sluices setup and try to locate some gold nuggets with the metal detector. This year is going to be one of those years where I know I can get out there and have some fun. Once again thank you for your input and video.
  11. I would like to find out how the 10 x 5 has worked out on the 800 to find gold and is it any better than the stock 11 inch coil. Since i have had so much bad weather and now rising creeks I have not had a chance to use anything yet. So if you have used the 10 x 5 on the 800 please let me know how you liked it.
  12. Have you located your missing pin pointer yet? Hope that it shows up soon for you.
  13. Is there any way to take a picture as you shine a flashlight through it from the back side of it. That would help a lot to identify it.
  14. Great finds once again and keep up the good work. How is the Deus II working out for you now that you have had some time with it.
  15. Nice find and glad for the save, good luck on your next hunt.

  18. Nice looking gold and sorry you didn't have a grill big enough for those walking steaks. Good luck on your next outing, and get your tent some hard sides.
  19. Are you wanting the shaft shortened for diving purposes? If you are be careful as most of the Nox's have had water issues even though they are supposed to be good for a few meters. SteveG is a great person to help you with any shaft that you need.
  20. GH, Welcome to the forum and please share some of your finds with us as we enjoy seeing the land from down under. Good luck and good hunting.
  21. Welcome to the forum and we are glad to have you here. Please let us know where you are from and what type of equipment that you use. We love to hear of the hunting that you do and see some of the finds along with the beautiful countrysides.
  22. I made a shelf like yours and put some small screws on the top left side to hold the 9 volt batteries. It only takes 1 screw so the battery is upside down and connected to the screw so it won't fall off.
  23. Great finds and great research to find the right locations to look. Good luck on your next outing.
