  1. That process should work fine for most of them, but the 3rd one from the left requires you to fill with some scotch then let stand for 30 minutes and then drink it. You must finish the whole container to make sure that it is 100% usable again. Nice collection and some may be able to be used for guests.
  2. Since I have not had many chances this past year to hunt I would say any coil that will work on the type of hunt I am doing. Sometimes I like to go to the parks and churches, while other times I get out in the fields around old farms. Then again I also use the 10x5 in the creeks and their sides to locate some gold. With that stated I have to say what ever works at the time.
  3. You only need one more item to add to it and that would have to be a bag hung much lower so you don't have to stop for the restroom breaks.
  4. Those are some nice finds the two of you found, a lot of history in the digs. Good luck on your next hunt.
  5. I have just what you need, but it has a sign on it that goes over your head to keep the disguise in it's proper place. The sign says KLUNKER was HERE.
  6. Great looking nugget, you had some nice skills to obtain it I am sure. One of these days I hope to get out west to find some of those pieces. Good luck on your next hunt.
  7. What a find indeed! Couldn't have happened to a better person, unless I had the good luck to find itfirst. Good luck on your next hunt and go back and find the gold that it buried.
  8. Steve thank you for a fast reply, I would have given you a thumbs up but ran out of likes. Seems to make sense from everyone else's post's.
  9. Nice hunting, good targets with average amount of trash. The ring looks to be from the local Indians of the area, could have been made from one of the settlers spine that they ran off. When you find out what it is please let me know. Good luck on your next hunt and stay away from the Indians.
  10. Do they have something to replace those detectors, and are they any better than what they are clearing out.
  11. Nice story and I do hope that he is able to find the real owners of the rings. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Beautiful coin and sounds like you had a great hunt. Good luck on your next outing and stay warm.
  13. That is one heck of a tribe that you have, what is their name. I hope you have more luck on finding the rest of them.
  14. Welcome to the forum and please share some of your stories and finds with us. We always enjoy seeing the pictures of the hunt also as it gives some of a chance to see other parts of the world. What part of the country are you from?
  15. Great finds and check where the outhouse was and check the path for more coins. I have found several nice ones on the paths as they sometimes moved the outhouse because they had filled up. Good luck on your next hunt.
  16. The name of the place is Hardcore Hammers in Hillsboro Illinois. I don't have there phone number but I think they have a web page. https://www.hardcorehammers.com/
  17. I have a company near me in a small town that may have just what you want. I will check with them on Monday and let you know about them. Are you wanting wood or fiberglass for the handle?
  18. Zord, Welcome to the forum and were are glad to have another knowledgeable person to share stories with. What type of detector do you use the most? You live in a beautiful country with a lot of history, so please share some of your hunts and pictures with us. Good luck and happy hunting.
  19. I wish you luck on finding more to be returned to the rightful owners so that they can smile again. I know what it meant to lose something that was lost, and then my grandfather found it a few weeks later. I was filled with happiness that I can't describe and now it is safely stored away until I want to wear it again. Good luck.
  20. Fantastic news to the people who lost it, and I hope they remember you and your hard work. Good luck and good hunting. I think I would have said a carton of pickup trucks, but settle for the beer.
  21. Manuals? They make manuals for these detectors, I have never seen one of them, so I have read about the detectors that I use on this forum and ask questions. I have learned that just using the detector and figuring out what it is telling me has helped more than anything. With advice from the great people on this forum and actual use of the detector, I have found many nice items and know more about the unit than a manual could ever tell me. When I want to change up things in the settings, I can tell what it is doing and if it is better I use it, and if not I go back to the settings I had before. I know that you will do fine as long as you take your time and let it tell you what is in the ground. You will learn what the unit is doing and become part of it as you are learning to make it easier to have an excellent hunt. Good luck and happy hunting.
  22. Nice hunting and good plan for this year. Good luck and good hunting.
  23. Welcome to the forum and you have found some of the nicest people in metal detecting at this site. I am sure that we can learn something from you and your skills and will enjoy reading about some of your finds. Please include pictures of your hunts as some of us do like to see new areas and the finds. When I was in Colorado with my grandfather we did a lot of panning and some detecting for gold. I know that the equipment you have can find some really nice nuggets our there. Good luck and happy hunting.
  24. I can send you one of mine if need be, or you can come here and dig your own. A church I go to have come up with several for me, and I think there are more to be found. Very nice half on your last hunt, one of these days I will get one of those. Good luck on your next hunt.
