  1. As grandfather told me, nothing says I love you better than a good dog. He had one that loved everyone and was loved by all that knew him.
  2. Nice finds and good saves from your hunt. Good luck on your next outing.
  3. Great finds again with a couple of old IH's for your trouble. Good luck on your next hunt.
  4. Why Are Top-performing Dry Land Pulse Induction Detectors So Frickin' Heavy? It has to be one of two reasons, 1st the batteries, 2nd could be because they're made for real men? Just kidding because I am just a newbie at this.
  5. Nice video and glad you shared it with us, always good to see someone finding shiny things like that.
  6. Great read again Simon, as I think you do a lot of thinking and research when you write an article like this. Thanks for sharing your views on this subject, as some of us are new and don't know shi* about some of the detectors like me. Sure I got my grandfathers NOX and have found some nice items with it, but I still am learning how to metal detect. Be nice or I might call PETA on you.
  7. Welcome to the forum and glad your here. We like to see people from around the world and hear about their adventures. When you get a chance to post some of your finds please do so and don't forget the pictures.
  8. I see some quartz in those rocks and maybe a glint of gold on the center bottom stone. The flakes that you mentioned may be gold, some of what I find around here is small as flour. I hope that you didn't throw it out as someone near you might be able to let you know exactly what it is. I do believe that you are hunting in the right area, so just be patient and good things will come your way.
  9. Great read and nice hunting on your new machine, but don't forget about your Nox. That will come back to bite you when you do finally pick it up again. Good luck on your next outing.
  10. Nice item and shiny too. Good hunting and good luck on your next outing.
  11. Well honestly I won't be worried about a tonne of gold as I haven't found over 5 pounds yet. When I get a whole lot more then I will look up this article again.
  12. Nice find on the gold, and glad to hear your story as always. Good luck on your new toy and happy hunting.
  13. Welcome to the forum and glad to have you with us. I know that we will have some good conversations about your finds and knowledge in the near future. So please share some good stories and pictures with us as you are in a great state.
  14. Nice hunting again in your books. Interesting items and those mason jar lids always get me on how they ring up. Good luck on your next hunt.
  15. Thank you for posting the pictures and information, I will try your settings for some of the places I hit up near me. Did you find anything bigger and if so how much larger were they. Good luck on your next outing.
  16. Welcome to the forum and don't be afraid to ask questions because that is the way to learn. I have a 800 and only use the factory settings, but I have found some very nice items. This year I may be able to find some time to really use the detector and find even better items with it. Just take your time and it will turn out good for you. Good luck and good hunting.
  17. Nice hunting in a nice yard, glad to see you save so many memories. Looks like a place to detect for some relics. Good luck on your next hunt.
  18. Nice finds for sure, and are you sure that is quartz. No matter what it is someone lost their bling. Good luck on your next outing.
  19. Nice find, I know that the Nox will hit any silver hard no matter how small it is. Good luck on your next hunt.
  20. GB thanks for the excellent read and history behind some of the finds. Good luck on your next hunt.
  21. Great hunt with some nice finds, I wish you more luck on your next outing.
  22. I took couple of pillow cases and used velcro to attached them to the inside the sleeping bag for all the accessories. That way I could put things in an order for me, the coils fit nicely in the pillow cases with room to fold them over to add more cushion. I used the peal and stick velcro and then added a few stitches to make sure they wouldn't go no where. If you do it right it will fold over the detector nicely and nobody knows what it is. I just wanted to make sure that the bumpy roads I have here wouldn't hurt the detectors or anything else. Hope this helps.
