  5. You have some nice looking samples that I believe to be gold. Almost any gold dealer could do an acid test to let you know if it is gold. Some of what I see looks like it may have a high silver content, but gold none the less.

  9. Thanks for sharing the information on that nugget, now just where was it from exactly. I am only asking to make sure that it was from the U.S. Please send the GPS data and I will research it just a little more for you. That is one great find and I think the person who found it will hang onto it for a little while, divorces can take some time, and I think that hobby equipment stays with the person that is into the hobby. I am sure that his wife would be happy to keep her sewing machine and knitting needles.

  16. Nice catch on the coin, and I hope you get some of our weather down there just so that you can say it was cold. Today was about 30 and now it is about 22, so sorry that you feel cold when it is in the upper 50's. Good luck on your next hunt.

  23. In Illinois I have been using Park 1 when I get into the creeks and streams, however when I am in Missouri I have to go to Park 2 for some reason. I think that there is more iron and lead in those areas that does something to the settings that make it better to go to a different setting. Most of the time I do use Park 1 though and have been very pleased with the outcomes.
