I have to agree, it is not a meteorite, I have found several. There are a few sites that you can access to research meteorites or leverites. I believe this is a leverite.

Looks like TCB Metals & Refining will purchase gold, 704-791-9025. The pay perhaps 93% of spot price and according to the % of pure gold in the gold.

I don't think so, it is a very good magazine especially if you are a gold hunter, worth subscribing to. Sorry, don't have a better solution.

There have ads in ICMJ's Mining Journal for refiners of Gold in the past, may still be one or more listed.

Your Techniques For Trashy Tailing Piles

I wrap my magnets with a good electrical tape, black sand any metal are easily removed using gloves, The tape after a while starts to wear out but is easily removed and replaced. Also helps protect the neo-magnets from breaking as they a fairly brittle.- 64 replies

What "2020" Vision Would You Like To "See"?

I would like to see myself in 2020 being as successful finding gold as I have in 2017 and part of 18. I have tried several out of the way, new places this year and have not found anything. I have to say though, some of the places I have been to were pretty cool, just no gold. -
I'll wait for the more adventurous folks to test the new coils before purchasing one, thanks to those that are willing to be pathfinders.

That is unusual, I have collected rocks, minerals, meteorites for a long time, I have no idea, almost a geode like formation.

I think due to financial considerations and already having purchased his hearing aids, they are not top of the market, didn't really think about how they would work with his detector, the are a lower end hearing aid.
