I really ain't to worried about them, because I have seen all the Crocodile Dundee movies and now know how to handle them. I found that if they are around just cut the persons leg next to you and throw them into the water. Then you have a few hours of fun detecting by yourself. I don't recommend this technique to be used by everyone.

Nice nickel and I hope that things get back to normal soon. Good luck on your next hunt.

A Dandy And Spectacle-ur Hunt
Valens Legacy replied to F350Platinum's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Nice hunt again, and I am sure that you will find the other half of that coin someday. I like the seat that you showed, I might have to get one. Good luck on your next hunt. -

Grandfather and I have used leaf springs in the past, then welded 1 1/4 inch pipe to it. Then we used a press to flatten the pipe a little bit so we could insert a axe handle into it. They work great and handles are easy to find. The wood that you used is really strong and should last a long time.

Nice find and it will go well with some of your other items from that area that you have found in the past. Good luck on your next hunt. -
Great finds and since everyone else has said they like the axe heads, let me be the first to say I really like the coins. Good luck on your next hunt.

Bullets And The Brass Ring

Great hunt at a beautiful site, did you put a pin pointer on the end of the nose of the horse. Wish I could have taken time off for something like that. Good luck on your next outing. -

A Big Lump And The Funeral Of The GPX 6000
Valens Legacy replied to phrunt's topic in Minelab Metal Detectors
Fantastic hunt Simon with a great reward for you. Sorry about the 6000 coil causing you to have to leave a hot area. Sounds like that is an area that the old timers missed some gold, I would be back there more often to go over it with a fine tooth comb. Good luck on your next hunt.- 34 replies

Welcome to the forum LS as we always like to see people share their finds and you have some nice ones in the picture. I only have one real question for you and that is " are you sure that Idaho is a real state, because I had a Idaho potato with my dinner". Just kidding about that and I know that you will find some really good information on the 800 in the Equinox forum. Good luck and good hunting.

Found Something Today
Valens Legacy replied to Rick N. MI's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
Nice save on the finds, but be careful when you go into the water it is just to cold right now and when it hits you it is to late. Good luck on your next outing. -
Nice hunting and glad that you were able to get out. When I get a chance to take off work I have several places to hit up myself. So far this year I think I have only been out for about an hour. Good luck on your next outing.
