  1. Welcome to the forum Nick! Have you tried south of Trout Lake in the creek? My grandfather and I panned there for about 3 weeks several years ago and was able to get almost 2 ounces before we had to come back home. Take your time and your detector will find some nice targets. It just takes time to know the machine and what it is telling you is down there. Good luck and good hunting.
  2. Just how well do you know the property owners? I wonder why they gave you permission to hunt their land, maybe to see if any evidence will ever be uncovered? Watch your back out there, you never know who used that jacket.
  3. Forgot to tell you that the NOX is working for you. She thought you might like a quarter since you were nice to her.
  4. Great finds, you should be able to find some really good stuff there. Just take your time and things will show up for you to dig. Good luck.
  5. Nice looking find, I see that there is a lot of history there. When I know what the area looks like I try the areas where there were plenty of horse hitches. When people got on and off the horses they tend to drop a few coins. Should you find a couple of stables give them a try also. Good luck on your next outing.
  6. I will have to remember that trick, send your hunting partner on a wild goose chase. Great finds and congrats on the quarter, it looks nice along with the other finds.
  7. I would have to try panning in the creek just to say that I did that. I enjoy seeing sites like that and know that someone was able to find gold in those areas.
  8. Nice finds, I always swing in different directions to pinpoint more closely with the 800. Good luck on your next hunt.
  9. Great hunting with some very nice finds, I like to hunt old churches because of what is in the ground. There are over 9 churches near me that have been here since the 1800's, and I can tell you that the have some very old coins. Good luck on your next outing.
  10. Never seen it, but I will look it up and try to watch it.
  11. It's not the news people that you have to worry about, it's the politicians that are from another planet.
  12. Congrats on the finds, and I think that you will do better the more you use the NOX. Right now it's still upset with you and if you show it that you haven't forgotten about her, she will get you some really nice items. Good luck on your next hunt.
  13. Congrats to you and think about sending a copy to Hallmark studios for a possibility of making it to the screen. They love stories like that.
  14. Mark welcome to the forum and I am sure that someone will be getting back to you on your questions. Feel free to post your stories on your gold hunts and show some pictures of your finds, as we all enjoy the hunts as much as you do.
  15. Great find, looks to be close to a 22, and they had those for ladies. Good luck finding the barrel.
  16. Great finds, why did you give him the plate, it is really nice and I have never seen anything like that before. Good luck out there and get some good coins.
  17. Another great hunt, wish I had time to get out there. Good luck on your next outing.
  18. I also remember that thread on here, and I can't find it either. What I did was to add an extra battery in the back of my truck to add extra power. I hooked it up to the same battery post's with some number 6 gauge wire to charge it and added a 100 amp breaker. I also found a 12 volt solar panel that I plug into the cigarette lighter to keep both batteries charged when I am hunting. If you don't like that idea or don't have room to put it in your car you can try this Dewalt item. grandfather used one similar to it for a while. It also has usb charging and an air compressor. https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DXAEJ14-Jump-Starter-Compressor/dp/B06XD6XBCM/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_pop_multi_srecs_sabr_cn_sccl_2_1/130-4585746-8190268?pd_rd_w=mgARU&pf_rd_p=e5d4e3ef-33b3-4006-815f-6088a235aa86&pf_rd_r=5MJ46S1X8MFHVWG4CWAH&pd_rd_r=28b80a22-47c5-4c22-b61f-91a6aca68569&pd_rd_wg=JqHJD&pd_rd_i=B06XD6XBCM&psc=1 Good luck on finding the thread.
  19. Over the past few years the power companies have been installing their own wifi units to pick up the newer meters. They have given me problems in the least expected places. When it starts with me I look at the power poles to see where they have put them and move away from them and the NOX settles down. The wifi boxes are square with a antenna hanging on the bottom of them and are good for up to a mile. Hope this helps someone, as I always thought it was the power lines until I talked with a friend who is a lineman for the local power company.
  20. On the bottom picture I see a door closer on the bottom row center. It is hard to find one with the spring still intact. I wonder if you cleaned and oiled it up would it still work. Good luck on your next hunt.
  21. Great finds, how many hunts did it take to get all that? Good luck on your next outing.
  22. Great job on the chains, and thanks for posting them. Good luck on your next outing.
  23. Congrats on the silver, the 800 can find it easily no matter where you are at. I love the way it hits on the silver when I get a chance to hunt, and I like the way it has brought me a couple of trimes. They were deep but hit them hard, and I had to look closely just to see them in the dirt I had dug. Keep up the work and you will find more even older. Good luck on your next hunt.
  24. Great hunt with many nice finds, it seems that when you get out there you come up with some of the nicer relics. I am going to have to take some time off soon just to find a few nice things also. I have been to busy working to be able to get out there, but things are about to change. Good luck on your next outing.
  25. Nice looking gold, you had to do some hard work to get all of that. Good luck on your next hunt.
