  1. Great looking coins, and nice hunting on your part. Good luck on your next hunt!
  2. Any good jeweler will be able to do it for you, and they just might give you a better price for it.
  3. Very interesting video and I plan on viewing it again and take some notes on it. Thanks for the information from a newbie.
  4. What size is the diamond if you don't mind saying. For that type of diamond I have seen them priced at over $2,500 just for the diamond over 1/2 carat. Remember that your first offer is just a base price to not go below.
  5. Welcome to the forum and some of us think that California is just crazy people with a few sane ones passing through. Anyway there are a lot of different types of detectors out there and you need to decide whether or not it is going into the water or not. Should you decide to use it strictly for gold nuggets or a trip to the parks and beaches. That is important to know when purchasing a detector. I have my grandfathers Equinox 800 and when I go gold hunting I will get the 6 inch coil for it.The unit is waterproof and can handle most of what I want it for, parks, lake beaches, trails, and almost anything I would detect. There are many detector comparisons on here that are very interesting to read. With all that said good luck on your decision and happy hunting.
  6. Fantastic hunting on your part with some great finds. Keep up the good work and good luck on your next hunt!
  7. Excellent video and now I just have to decide where to go to find some of that gold. Decisions, decisions what should I do.
  8. Welcome aboard friend, and you will find many people here that are willing to help someone new understand what they are doing. They will not only give you great advice but direct you to the people that can help you even more if they can't. Please show us some of your finds when you get them and let us all enjoy the hunt together. Good luck and happy hunting!
  9. The diamond looks more valuable than the gold with it's cut. One doesn't find a heart shaped diamond very often. Great find and once again good luck on your next hunt.
  10. Jeff I believe that you are correct on this, when I looked it up and seen a picture it is very close to the picture I looked at. Good work.
  11. Very interesting to see some of the obstacles that you guys have down there. Beautiful area in which you live. Good luck on your hunts and stay safe form the critters.
  12. I can understand that reason myself, as I hate rush hour in large cities. Here in the country area all we have to worry about is trains, farm equipment on the highways, and grandmothers on Sundays.
  13. Beautiful find for sure, glad to see you didn't give up on the hunt. Good luck on your next outing!
  14. Great hunt and sounds like a place to hit again. Good luck on your next hunt!
  15. Once again you come up with a very nice find with some history behind it. Good luck on your next hunt!
  16. Great hunting and some very nice bottles that you have saved. Good luck on your next hunt.
  17. Thanks for the useful information for the newbies on here to learn from. I am hoping to go prospecting this next year and can use all the help I can get. I try to learn as much as I can from the articles on here, and it really helps when someone gives some good advice to me. Good luck on your next hunt!
  18. Great hunt with a big reward, good luck on your next hunt.
  19. Welcome to the forum as there are many here to help you with your questions. Phrunt (Simon) is a good source on your new detector as he also has something like it. Please share some pictures of your finds when you get a chance. Best wishes for a great hunting experience with your new detector.
  20. Very nice hunting with a great outcome! Good luck on your next outing.
  21. Great find on such trashy area! Hope it cleans up a little better for you, and wish you good luck on your next hunt.
  22. Well I didn't know you were in Florida and I can understand about the gator scaring the fish away. Since you had the gator there I would have used a week old chicken just to say I caught something, but you would have needed a bigger pole. Still a good catch on the ring!
  23. Nice finds even though you had to dig a lot of trash to get them. Remember that in the past the detectors did not go as deep as the Nox on coins. I am learning this in a park that has been gone over by a lot of people. I have even had the parks ground keeper tell me that there is nothing old left, and that is when I show him a dime I found. They just look at the detector and shake their head on what they missed. Good luck on your next hunt!
  24. Great find on the ring, sorry for no fish though. Did you try using the beach settings to find the fish? Good luck on your next hunt. Use a slow crank bait for the fish, it is getting cold and they don't move as fast.
  25. Were we suppose to read what you wrote, I just look at the nice pictures. Just kidding!
