First Few Times Out In Minnesota

Recommended Posts

After moving to Minnesota this summer, it was time to see what the local parks still hold. The items in the pics represent a total of three times out. Some highlights: 2 50¢ pieces, a silver dime, a buffalo nickel, a State Farm license tag, and 29 dimes from one park that were mostly in one area above the soil hidden by grass. The tool shown is a spark plug wrench that I modified after speaking with an old-timer years back. It is what I have been using here so as not to leave a trace as it has been fairly dry. It works well for coins that are not too deep, and it does a great job hooking the pull tabs.

That's a neat modification on the small engine wrench.  it looks like you have some good potential in your new hunting grounds. Some nice finds showing.

That's a good load of finds in your new area. Congrats on the Kennedy half, silver dime, Buffalo nickel, and State Farm tag, well done!

It looks like that area has some good potential and maybe not much competition. Good Hunting!

Nice finds , I had that wolf neckerchief slide when I was a kid !

I had all of them. Mom was a den mother !   I had cub scouts coming to the house when I was in high school . She was easy to talk into volunteering for stuff like that . Very good with kids ,,, I mean look at me!😜 Well , maybe that isn't a good example .....🙄

I am so stealing your tool design !THX👍
