  1. Hello all, Everything seemed to be in alignment yesterday morning, when i woke up about 4 A.M., and couldn't go back to sleep after looking at the tides and weather! Had some issues that prevented me from getting out the last few weeks, so i was itching to go! The wind was ripping pretty good, and i had a spot in mind that had been renurished and ruined for quite a while, that should be showing signs of huntability again! Also, it's a spot that you can "dual hunt", meaning ocean beach and water, than a short walk away, intercoastal beach and shallow water!! I got there before sunrise to beat the heat, and low tide hit at around 7:15; perfect! Did a quick peek, and liked what i saw! Geared up; and within a few minutes, i found a decent coin line running North from the rocks, to open beach, about midway between the cliff and water! All the coins and other objects were on the harder shell layer, under about 6-8 inches of soft eroded sand! I followed it till it petered out, than backtracked a different line back to the rocks! I was hitting a few targets in the rocks, and got to finally put my new PulseDive to the test! It worked great! A few times, i had to put my detector and scoop above the surf, and hand dig, and test over and over for a few tough targets that were locked in crevices and rock holes! Cool, but a little time intensive! I was hoping for a sliver, or long lost gold item, but ended up with some 70's and 80's coins instead! All good though! After about 2 hours, the incoming tide was beating me back from the good area, so i took a break, than switched over to the calm intercoastal side for about another 2 hours of relaxed hunting; mostly in the water! Overall, i was happy with what i recovered, even though no gold or silver today! Now i know that i can return, as the erosion progresses hopefully! If not, i know the other side has some jewlery waiting for me! πŸ‘πŸ‘

  2. Actually, the last pulse delay (11.5) is actually 15us. It was a last second change to better accommodate full submersion.

  3. Claim jumpers used to bother me a lot. Now, they just bother me a little. Nothing worse than someone jumping right in front of you and getting a good target, but, I've also found some great targets BECAUSE someone did that. One time in particular sticks out in my mind. A local TOTAL A-hole that everyone I know hates, pulled that on me one day. He thinks the beach belongs to him and makes a point to interfere with your plans. I decided to not let him get my goat, so, I turned in another direction than I had planned. I went about 20 feet and found 2 nice gold rings. Now, I just figure if I was meant to find it, I will. The beaches here are huge with plenty of sand for everyone, even if it isn't the sand you planned on searching.

  4. Took the Nox down to my local lake for an all day hunt on the exposed beach area. The lake level has been dropping all summer due to the lack of rain in central Texas. I spent most of the morning digging nothing but trash, mainly pulltabs and bottle caps. First good hit was the palladium ring, VDI was 15. Next keeper was the little silver rope pendant, VDI was 24. Last find of the day was the 10K ring which hit at 12. This is my first palladium ring, I thought it was stainless when I first saw it, but when I picked it up, it had some weight so I figured it was white gold. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was mark "Benchmark Palladium"

  5. I should have an Apex in hand by the end of the week. Won't take long for me to see how it performs against a few of the detectors I've got in iron. I've got a simplex and a F19 fitted with the 5 x 10 and a Racer 2 fitted with the 7 x 11, that should be a pretty good comparison for the 6 x 11 on the Apex.

  6. Mitchel, My take is that you don't always get what you want, but you got what you were supposed to get. There are way to many external forces that change how and why and we can't control them. Sure it may have been a good find, maybe it wasn't. All my finds are considered junk until I test them and they test out to be good. And I am a firm believer in Karma. He will get claim jumped sometime and won't like it but that is payback and at some point in time, he will get his. I think that we all feel a bit territorial on our detecting sites but in reality it is public property and everyone has the same rights to be there as we do. Is it bad etiquette to jump on our line? Yep, sure is. Was he an AH for doing it? Yep in our minds he was. From his point of view, he may have never been taught about detecting etiquette. Maybe just a rookie, maybe just a jerk. No we don't always get what we want, but we always get what we are supposed to. Good luck in the future with keep the nighthawks away! Joe

  7. hi all i just got a Vanquish 440 & took it down to my favorite super trash infested freshwater beach well i have used the nox here so good time to test the Vanquish when i first started out it chattered a lot due to the blanket of nails & bottle caps & heavy minerals (but it wasent picking the bottle caps up πŸ˜ƒ) thats a good thing well i hunted a bit & the only thing i could do to calm her down was lower the sensitivity to around half as there's not to many adjustments to work with . the nox has quite a bit more control as i hunted i got more used to the sounds & hit this beauty a id bracelet 29 grams of 14 k gold at about 4 inches read 17 🎧 happy happy i finished my run & went up to the car & got my much loved excalibur to see how i could do with it well it was in a constant null on the iron but did ok on targets. then i decided to try a less trashed area downstream the Vanquish ran much better & i was able to put the Vanquish sensitivity up to around 3/4 ran smooth i was hunting along & i got a mid tone & a locked 7 on the vdi (wouldn't let it go ) ah ha says i gold 😎 & sure enough down 7 inches i get a 10 k ring ive hunted these beaches many time & i guess i missed this 1 theres more to the Vanquish than meets the eye & it has the dna from the nox i think its gonna be my new friend i love the turn on & hunt operation im thinking its a winner thanks minelab the V is for Victory

  8. I say the sap sucker didn’t even find the ring .He just wanted to chap your rear making you think he found it . I had gotten my father out law ( in law ) interested in detecting . I’d go pick him up and take him hunting with me . I told him about picking up the trash he found and covering up his dug holes . He wasn’t too bad about covering up the holes but the trash he would throw it in a bush every time . Then we’d get to a school and it would be a long line of swings and I would give him the option on what side did he wanted to hunt . You would think it shouldn’t be a problem but that makes us both wrong. As soon as I started to finding anything I’d look up and he had jumped over in front of me . It was around the second time he done that I said no more. That made the last time I ever pick him up again. Chuck

  9. Had this same thing happen many times before. Not only at the beach but relic hunting and park hunting. My buddy actually had a guy walk up to talk to him while he was relic hunting and two steps away from where they are talking the guy finds a flying eagle cent as he's leaving. I've also been the offender, not on purpose. I was hunting with my brother-in-law at the beach and walked over to see if he had found anything. As I turn and walk away I got a signal that turned out to be a 13 gram 18K ring. He still gives me crap to this day, all in fun of course.

  10. Let’s go for a 2fer. Back in 2018 before I retired, I had a co-worker tell me one day in the breakroom at work, that he had been doing some dozer work on the family property and that there were several old homesteads that I could detect if I wanted to. I told him that I love to detect old homesteads and he gave me locations and told me to have fun. I then told him that if anyone in the family had every lost anything that I would be happy to look for that too. He started laughing and then told me about his grandmother telling him about his Uncle Johnny losing a silver quarter when he was little and it had upset him so much that everybody in the family looked for it. He had lost it between the house and the barn. My co-worker moved into the house when his grandmother passed away. He said that it really bothered his grandmother that she couldn’t find that quarter and give it back to β€œUncle Johnny”. I told him that I would come over on Saturday morning and see if I couldn’t find that quarter. He got a little more info in that it was in the mid to late 1950’s when it was lost and he thought that he knew the path to the barn from that time period. We decide it would have been dated no later than 1957 as his uncle was born in 1952. I spent over an hour and dug a lot of period nuts, bolt, plow sheers, etc but no silver quarter. I ask it there might have been another route from the house to the barn. He called his mother, Uncle Johnny’s sister, and she said maybe this other way might have been the path back then. I completed one gridline to the barn and on my way back I got a silver hit on my CTX 3030. Down 9 Β½ inches I popped out a 1954 Franklyn half dollar. Right year but wrong denomination. I swung my coil back over the hole and got an iron grunt and another silver chirp just barely audible and to the side of the original plug. So I dug down and pulled out a tie rod end. So that was the iron grunt alright. I swung back over the hole and the silver sounded off loud and proud. I dug out a bit more soil and out popped a well worn 1920 Walking Liberty half dollar. Jeez, my first ever two half dollar coin spill. About that time my co-worker came out and ask how I was doing. I showed him the half dollars and then continued looking for the silver quarter for about another hour. Gee whiz, how could I dig two halves and miss that quarter? I talked to my co-worker on Monday at work and we talked more about the missing quarter and I ask him if he could talk to Uncle Johnny and find out if he remembered where he might have lost it because we must have been looking on the wrong path to the barn. He called me later that evening and was laughing. He had called Uncle Johnny as ask him if he remembered losing some money when he was little and if he remembered maybe where. Uncle Johnny said, β€œYes, I lost two half dollars that my grandpa paid me for digging potatoes, between the house and barn. Grandma had the story wrong and had told it wrong for years. LOL So the next weekend, I met Uncle Johnny at my co-workers house and gave him back the two silver half dollars at the very spot that he had lost them somewhere between 55 and 60 years before. That is the only time I have ever been able to repatriate money to someone in my 51 years of metal detecting. The second part of the story is that along with the Uncle Johnny lost money was a class ring that was lost on a Halloween hayride on the family farm in 1990. It was church sponsored for the youth group of the church. A 16 year old girl took her mother’s class ring and wore it on the hayride. At one point someone jumped out from behind some trees to scare the kids on the hay wagon. She screamed and threw up her hands and off went the ring. My co-worker’s dad owned the land and search the field for several days after the hayride trying to find the ring. My co-worker was probably about 8 or 10 years old and grew up with that story. In 2000 the girl moved back home after being diagnosed with colon cancer and passed away just before Christmas 2000. My co-worker was in the youth group at church and they had gone to her house the night before she passed, to sing Christmas Carols. So, he grew up with the lost ring story and the girls passing and was hoping that I could find the ring 28 years after it was lost in a 20 acre cow pasture. His dad had told him of the approximate Β½ mile route of the hayride zig zagging the pasture. Well two weeks after finding Uncle Johnny’s half dollars, I was back out detecting a 20 acre field for a ladies class ring. After finding out that someone had jumped out from behind a tree to scare the kids on the wagon, I had the search area narrowed down to one end of the field where the only trees were. But they were all along the whole ΒΌ mile end of the field. But after about 45 minutes, several musket balls and modern bullets, I got a good sounding hit on my 3030. Down about 8 inches, out comes a ring. Not only a ring but the blue class ring that had been hiding at that spot for 28 years. I called my co-worker and ask him if he was home and he was. I said, β€œI will be there in five minutes”. When he came to the door and I showed him the ring, he had a grin from ear to ear. We had to jump into his truck and go to his Mom and Dad’s house to show them. They were equally thrilled. It had really bothered everyone for years and especially after the girl has passed away. About a week later, at the church were all of them attended, I met them after the Sunday service. When I took the ring out of my pocket, I told the girl’s mother that the last person to touch that ring before I found it was her daughter. So from her daughter’s hand to my hand and from my hand to her hand. I can tell you that the waterworks were flowing that day from the girl’s mother and father to my co-worker and all of his family. It was such a great feeling to be part of a 28 year lost ring story.

  16. Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm glad you shared some of your experiences too. Of course it wouldn't be a story if he would have just dug and walked home like he said. I wouldn't know what he had found. In the end I'm the type of person that everything that happens while detecting is just another clue that keeps me swinging. My dig holes and My gridding were pointing an arrow at the spot where this seagull decided to swoop. Then he came to me and wanted me to say 'Good Job' but I remained silent. He could have had the decency to just put it in his pocket and check it later as he would have to do anyway. I told the story the way I felt it and the way I remembered the facts. I wonder what his story would be. "I was out detecting last night on MY spot and a guy was already there. I could see the pattern of his dig holes so after I chatted him up a bit I jumped in front of him and found the WHITE GOLD ring. He had walked around me when I was digging it up so I went to him and had him shine HIS light on it so he could KNOW what I did to him."

  17. I used the same but a 4 pin Souriau on my excalibur for a few years (2014-2016), worked fine but in time the nubs wore down on the male panel connector which I used for the endcap. See if I can find the picture. I never mentioned this since the AQ has the exact same. But I was changing coils regularly on the excalibur. I did try several others before, then settles on a 3M SS fittings and still in use today on one of my excals, My opinion hardwired is best for all around performance on coils. If for headphones, SS ONLY. M-12

  21. You are probably right about photos not being the best way to identify an object. But you posted photos and asked for opinions. None of us asked you to. If you don't like my answers that is fine with me. One thing is fairly certain. That object in your photos is most likely not a naturally occurring "rock" unless there has been volcanic activity in your area at some point in the last 500 million years or so and there is an outcropping of obsidian on your land. As far as I know, any volcanic activity was way older than that in your area and all evidence of it is long gone. I am not an expert on the rocks of Alabama but I know a lot about the rocks of Georgia where I grew up and where I studied geology in college. I know of no occurrences of obsidian in Alabama. That would mean there are igneous rocks in your area. If you are near or south of I-85/US highway 80 all of the rocks in your area that formed or were deposited there (not hauled in from somewhere else) all the way to the Gulf of Mexico are sedimentary. In your area I know of no other rock that looks like your specimen. There are some minerals that look sort of like your specimen, like flint, chert, chalcedony, etc. In my opinion, from your photos (and yes I own and have found meteorites), your specimen is not a meteorite or meteor impact glass. Visually it has several characteristics like the way it has fractured, some layering around an inner core of the same material, it appears to have opaque to translucent areas that point towards slag or some other form of melted silica. If I thought it had a possibility of being a meteorite or a tektite I would be one of the first to say so. The fact that you say there is more of it on your land does not change my opinion that it isn't from a meteor. In fact, it makes me think even more that there may have been smelting, blacksmithing, glass making a slag pile from a railroad or road building on or near your location at some point in the last hundred or more years. This is from Geology.com Slag is one of the substances most commonly mistaken for meteorites, as it appears burned and melted on the surface and often sticks to a magnet due to its high iron content. It is used in road and railroad building as ballast and even in the manufacture of fertilizer. Stars Fell On Alabama refers to the Leonid meteor shower, which happens every year and can be seen over much of North America for sure not just in Alabama. What we see as "streaking or shooting stars" in the sky are actually very small objects. Few of them make it to the earth's surface. I try to watch it each year.

  22. Packed up the toy hauler and headed out to meet up with some friends and hit a few hydraulic pits in the Sierra Nevadas. MikeB was, as usual, happy to share his knowledge and give some good advice; only had one skunk day during the trip. I had forgotten how rugged and steep the terrain is out there compared to Idaho! After 5 days of lugging the 7000 up and down rocky, slippery, manzanita covered steep ravines, Chet and I decided to work as a team on a hillside where nuggets were found. We dug and detected: he used the 7000, then I used Gold Monster to quickly identify and locate the nuggets...we pulled a quarter ounce out of a 6 x 6’ area that day! Can you believe this guy is over 80 years old? He can work that pick like a man half his age! This great hobby certainly keeps us in shape! One day I was down deep in a narrow ravine when I heard a distant shout....then Chet came on the radio saying he just saw the biggest bear he’s ever seen, up close and personal, and that it was heading down the ravine. Crap! You mean the ravine I’m in that’s only about 5’ wide here at the bottom?!?! Luckily, I then could hear it crashing through the brush running up the hill to my left. Wish I could’ve seen him though. No big lunker nuggets on this trip, but a few chunkies were found: And here’s my total for the 7 or so days detecting....I’m happy with it! On the last day, I sat overlooking The Motherlode country....thanking her for a good time, good friends, and for sharing a bit of her riches with me!😊

  27. Guys you know when you give your senior ring to some girl you can loose the ring and the girl at the same time. I’d hunted this old school many times before with good luck finding old coins. To put a date on this school it’s the one I went to when I was in the second grade. Time line when I was hunting the target that made this story was 1974 about. I was hunting under this merry go round as I had in the past . It was always good for two or three coins for me hunting with my White’s 66 TR . I got what I’d call a good loud solid signal that said dig me . I punch down about two inches and out popped this gold senior ring into the light of day . Right away I could see it came from a small town just north of the town I was in . It had a spring that fit inside to make the ring to fit a smaller finger. Well now I had to find out if guy not only lost his ring and maybe the girl too . I had a lady I knew that gone to the same school but years before. I gave her a call when she would be available for me to show her the ring . Well that day came but hold on to your rocking chair you won’t believe what she said. She took one look at the ring and the date and said I know who this ring belongs to and he’s a relative. All I could say was WHAT. She gave him a call to double check and it was his . At the same time I made appointment with him to return the ring . When I met him he said that his girlfriend was babysitting across the street from the school and took the kids over to play on the merry go round. That’s how she come to loose it . Like others in the past he thank me and wanted to reward me but I just let him know my reward was returning the ring . I know you wanted to know what happen to that girlfriend . Well this story has a happy ending in he married that girl and now that young man is complete by getting his ring back too . Chuck PS At that time I was a dealer for White’s and somewhere I have pictures of that return. I think I’ll let that sleeping dog lie .

  28. I would agree, midalake, that the sea water is not the issue. My friends who have had their coil ears break don't hunt in the water. Some good points being made here. I believe that Minelab needs to understand that updates just aren't software-related. They can also be mechanical. I think they should give thought to sending owners sets of shims or redesigned washers to address the current problem and then do a fix on the coil ear design. With the number of Equinoxes that I see out in the field this is going to be an ongoing sore spot for them for years to come that doesn't need to be.

Will have to source the connector I have found a silver three pin in mouser but I am looking for the gold pin. I ordered a Russian silicone boot for my Nox that took a while to get 3 weeks in fact . Very nice piece of kit it is water proof tie offs for all connectors and battery Good to 60 feet very well made. I keep it in my war bag. Only reason I mention it is the same could be molded for the AQ ..... I have a original Joe Sink Hooka the one that puts out more air than anyone makes 6 divers to 60ft. For 3.5 hours on tank of fuel couple liters .....sorry so long . Any way I know that an old Customer was diving Port Royal with authority’s and some times in deep Water there can be a phenomenally of the huge salt field at ocean depth he had no trouble with the Barracuda and 13 Inch coil but I have a variable delay on the Cuda and tweak the lowest setting for most gold Rings and Salt....if you run into Noise you can bump it a bit CW or turn it all the way CCW and use coil control to verify sweep. any way sorry for long Post one last thing. I am very happy with the AQ and very capable of bending it to my Will and the spots that No one can touch unless they are proficient with the AQ I am sure that this just the beginning of a great line of new gear for those that march to their Own Drummer Happy Trails jimpugh ps be safe I live in hurricane alley no treasure is worth your life wrecks every where they will wait

  31. I’ve never heard that anywhere and I keep a pretty close ear to the ground. Minelab is releasing new machines soon, but a beach PI is almost sure to not be on the list. The is a lot of talk about a new GPX 6000 for gold prospecting that could be used on the beach, but like previous GPX don’t think it will go underwater. Besides, ask Equinox owners about Minelab’s ability to make a detector that does not leak! I think the next version of the AQ should only be released when ready, and not before. We already have the half done version and it would be great if the next one is 100%.

  36. I call people like that sea gulls. Just like sea gulls anywhere if you got something they like they'll follow you and swoop in to snatch anything they can. You can try shoo'ing them away or put up with them. To bad vlf's dont have the retune feature's like PI's do (different operating principals) or I'd just retune on the sea gull till they got the point. If you got mate's with ya you can just pack around the sea gull till they leave, or do it yourself if you think you can bugger them off. Then there's always just dropping you trash pouch around them.... but like you did mn90403 I've left them alone to and just bit the bullet.

  37. I'm certainly not going to defend this person's actions. Common sense isn't so common these days, let alone ethics/sportsmanship. One thing to keep in mind, though -- as bad as he apparently is at thorough coverage he has probably left you a lot good finds in the past (and will in the future) when the two of you aren't detecting concurrently.

  38. Sorry to hear about your experience out, but it happens all of the time. I've heard many stories similar even with friends walking over to say hi and getting a signal right in there path and turning out to be a wooper.

  39. Something inline on the audio cord seems like the best way to pursue it provided you can find the connectors. I am hesitant to start ripping a machine apart and whipping out the soldering gun but thats me, I'm gun shy.

  40. I detect several days a week no matter the beach conditions. Lately I make it simple and go to a couple of the same beaches and I get what is available for that particular day. Yesterday, Monday morning I got out a bit late (7AM) after a busy weekend for the beach and saw that the tractors had already raked the blanket areas. It is not a pattern I usually follow in dry sand but I know it can be productive. I headed to my small wave, wet sand beach and found next to nothing. I was getting ready to leave when I was approached by a guy with his gf/wife. He said 'Do you want to hear a joke,' in an 'island accent' and I said, ok. He said 'I was swimming yesterday and I lost my Gucci Chain!' I'm looking at this tall, polite black guy and thinking ... this is not a joke. haha He proceeded to tell me that he was here from St. Thomas and he had gone in the water on Sunday afternoon and forgot to take off his chain he had bought at his home island. This is something I wanted to help him find but also know more. He told me that it was just a couple of life guard stations down from where he found me. Ok, 4 life guard stations later we made it to his swimming area. This is one of MY beaches. When conditions are right it is a good detecting beach. As we walked his wife showed me pictures from the day before on her phone. I got to see the round (50g) chain he had been wearing. I told them it could be near where they lost it because the waves had been small, the tide was not big and the current was weak. When I started detecting the area I knew it was going to be a problem because it was the little 'suck out' waves that weren't going to take a heavy chain and push it up a sloped beach. I searched the water/wave line and it was a hard pack with the rocks churning up and down. We needed a snorkel! It was clear and if a chain was there you would be able to clearly see it but we were now 18 hours after the loss. I had been over this beach to get my 4 rings on Saturday morning. There was no new patch in the area. It was time for me to go. They were flying back to NYC in the afternoon and would be back at their island sometime this week. He had lost his prized chain but we agreed he should still enjoy the trip. We exchanged phone numbers. He would have paid me a reward (he offered) but I couldn't find it but I got a good STORY. That beach will never be the same. I will always look for Lebron's chain on that beach. I hope you get a good STORY about a beach where you detect. Mitchel

  41. I have to give Garrett credit for actually producing and shipping a product they announced just a few months earlier. None of this announce/tease, then make people wait for years. And even if there were delays, it would be understandable, given this virus thing going around.

  42. I just wanted to say thanks to Dilek, She went above and beyond to help me. I sent the coil out to the service center today and will update everyone as soon as I hear from them. Even with the glitch in response, I have nothing but great things to say about their machines. I think Nokta has figured out how to make an easy to use and uncomplicated machine with lots of options. The MK in my opinion is the best coin and relic machine made.

  43. Without actual in use reports on how one made with the stainless connector vs the composite one acts when dipping across the water line in salt water, we may not know how well the shield and insulator are carried through the connection with the stainless connector. The dilemma of trade offs, testing, information flow, clarity of information and interpretation of what the information really means. Frustration. I'm still leaning to paying for the expensive connector for two reasons (unless the first one isn't true): 1) The sound off from the knee to waist deep wash across the connetor shouldn't be as bad. 2) Since it is reported that they have to use the expensive connector on the Gold version, quantity pricing may help get the connector price down. Which ever way it goes, I still anticipate having one in what ever form it is available in, when one is available.

  44. You edited out half my quote. The Einstein quote and mine are not in conflict because we are talking about different things, even if they seem similar at first. Read both carefully. What I'm saying is that coming up with simple explanations for complex situations that no one yet understands ("mystery origins") are more likely to be false, the simpler the theory is. The real answer must be harder to understand, otherwise we would understand it already. That is not the same thing as Einstein is talking about, which is understanding a (presumably) complex idea which others already agree upon, understand, and which has been tested and proven already over the years, and then being able to explain it simply to someone who doesn't yet understand. Also, Einstein's quote is kinda wrong because a certain level of knowledge about our world is required for even a simple explanation for some things. A Flat Earth is easy to understand. It's not so easy to understand how the quickest route to fly from New York to Vietnam is by going over the North Pole. Yet, it's true, but someone in 1400AD wouldn't understand even explained simply. Similarly, Einstein derives pages and pages of complex math and science, stuff that takes 4-6 years of school to learn, in his "simplified" treatment of his theory, just to get the point where he feels he's ready to start introducing General Relativity to the public. His concept of "simple" is not what you and I consider simple. Anyways, that's a large sidetrack.

  45. I’m afraid not. Unless you have researched and are hunting a known meteorite location, your odds of just finding a random meteorite are extremely low. https://www.detectorprospector.com/forums/topic/3334-meteorite-identification-101/

  48. Hi , I have tested the Simplex+ last year and I made depth tests comparisons with it on my test boxes . Actually I am not confident with some youtube test videos I prefer to do my own tests , that I know very reliable ( test boxes, see my other threads in this forum , Vanquish for example ) .. : - On a big 10grams coin at 11inches deep the Simplex has exactly the same perfo as the Deus 11i coil , Eq 800 11i coil , Vanquish V12 - On a smaller 3grams coin at 6inches depth, the Eq , Deus, Vanquish are better than the Simplex. This is due to the Simplex 12khz relatively low freq which is not optimal for small /very small targets , compared to the 20 and even 40khz running on the 800 , Deus , etc Concerning the v3i , I do not know this machine , but from the single weight standpoint , I imagine that it must weight at least 1,5kg , whiile the Orx only weights 0,8kg. For info a teknetics T2 weights 1,6kg, the Simplex+ 1,4kg ... So the Orx/Deus outperform the others on this weight criteria , this is why people appreciate the XPs , in addition to excellent abilities on iron trashed areas...
