  1. I like it Doc, nice going. Would like this camo for the 6000.
  2. Spent 16 days in Rye Patch area in Nevada recently using the 6000 for the first time in gold country. Found 3 small nugets the first day, one the second and one the third, this is going to be good! Ha, went dry for the next 10 days and finaly found 2 more day 14 then 1 more on day 15 for a total of 6.8 grams. Not a large amount but found nothing last year in 10 days so I at least beat the skunk. Had 2 days of beat-down rain and one day of un-bearable wind, several days of cold weather but the last 2 days were beautiful. Met a few good folks also prospecting, alwasys fun to talk with them about finding gold. Good luck to all in your search.
  3. Really nice finds schoolofhardnox, exciting to be in that part of the country detecting old war treasures. Sounds like the 5000 is working good.
  4. Had a Whites DFX for two years and found nothing, purchased a 5000 and first day out found a gram nugget, a few days later found a 11 gram nugget. I got gold fever really bad after that trip, still have that disease to this day.
  5. Takes a lot of heat to twist a railroad spike. Heating then quenching in oil re-hardens steal/iron after turning red hot, then re-heat to around 200 deg. to give back some mailability to the object. Nice work.
  6. I hear you prunt, getting up and down several times digging even 1 target let alone several targets each time out can wear you out. I removed the short handle on my pick and installed a long shovel handle so I could stand up for most of digging a target until I need to kneel down to retrieve it. Much better on my legs and knees at the end of the day.
  7. Looking for gold, usually from 7 or 8 in the morning to 3-4 in the afternoon with an on-site 1/2 hour or so lunch.
  8. menyarito1, the folks giving you advice do know what they are talking about and really do care that you do not make a mistake, not one person is trying to mis-lead you.
  9. Ridge Runner, I have the money but not the good looks like you. Why can't we have both?
  10. Smart thinkin Klunker, good luck to ya.
  11. I'm working on it. Does anyone here have two JJ6LGCC7 vacuum tubes and a 12KV transformer? Dam Klunker, just gave that stuff to good will, wish I had known.
