Not my biggest but one I'm very proud of.  Found with a Fisher Gold Strike.

My favorite nugget, and favorite specimen gold. The nugget isn’t the prettiest, but I found it the summer I retired when out with Mike Bowers & some other Auburn Goldhounds…nice folks. It’s still my biggest I’ve found. The speci was found right here in Idaho a few miles from my cabin on a friend’s claim.😊

Its got to be this one for me.  About 16 grams cleaned up.  Happens to be my biggest but also my most unusual nugget.
Found in WA earlier this year with the GPX6 on a trip with my brother in law. We were pretty excited by this nugget that had been missed several times by his GPZ with 14” and 19” coils.
Good times!!  🌞 🏜 ️

I've changed my mind on my favourite nugget find.

I was very new to finding nuggets at the time, probably my 5th time looking for gold, and it wasn't a surface find, about an inch down I would guess.

To me looking for gold isn't anything to do with value or finds or financial it's all about the challenge and these little guys are a great challenge.

0.13 of a grain for those on the old scale.

Yes, I have extremely accurate scales, not like those people that carry on they found a nugget too small for their scales so their detector is awesome yet it was a decent size lump to me 😛

Well your favourite nugget is like your favourite child but here goes. It's not my biggest specimen 3½ Kilo rock that yielded ½ Kilo of gold when dollied. It's not my biggest solid nugget that was about 6 Ounces that was sunbaking.  It's not my first nugget over an ounce weighing 4 ounces but he came close as the wife was well past her 1 ounce plus for some time, and that stop the ragging I got for that. If I had to pick one it would be this dual Gold and Tungsten specimen about  the size of an Aus. 10¢ piece.
