I decided to get the old map out and find some farm houses that have long since disappeared. Took a little while at each one to locate where the house was but I got a couple good finds. My first artillery eagle Β button and a sterling US Navy ring.

Nice finds and that area is great place to hunt as so many veterans were from the rural areas. When they got back home some of them lost some of their items that they had.

Good luck and good hunting.

Quite interesting what you can find at old house sites. It was great that USGS did that in the past. Congratulations on the eagle A and ring. πŸ‘Β Was there a lot of iron?

Thanks F350Platinum!
Β Β Yes, there was a lot of iron at the second. It took a while at the first to find it. I did get a 1915 d nickel at the first sight as well. I live just a mile west of where the battle here was and I’ve read that the line was a mile wide but most of the relics we’ve found have been closer to the main path headed into town and in town.
